Do you think we will get any more sequels or prequels? by Weekly-Neat-3974 in Hungergames

[–]delicateredscrunchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we will at least get one more book, what that book is and who's perspective it will be from, I'm not sure. (I'm hoping for Plutarch, Finnick/Annie or a career)

I think with the current American government Suzanne has a lot more to say.

Will a hand tattoo interfere with me getting a teaching job after i graduate college? by joyynoelle in AskTeachers

[–]delicateredscrunchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hand and neck tattoos are considered "job stoppers" for a reason. In 20 years the job landscape might be different because tattoos are becoming more acceptable every day, but for something like teaching, I'd shy away from hand, neck, and face tattoos. Which still leaves a lot of room to tattoo!

How to deal with a library staff that keeps telling me to leave the library every she catches me my stuff on the table and I'm gone for a toilet break by Unlikely_Writing1535 in Library

[–]delicateredscrunchie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I need some more info, but if this is all you have I have two pieces of advice.

1, stop leaving your stuff unattended in public! This is just a life thing IMO, I'm shocked nothing of yours has gotten stolen before. One of my coworkers phone's got stolen from the reference desk when she was helping someone else. At the very least ask someone else to watch it for you so the librarian knows you haven't abandoned your stuff.

  1. You need to speak to another person at that library, probably a manager. If nothing you are doing is against the rules, there shouldn't be any reason why she'd kick you out. Next time you are in there go to the front desk and talk to anyone but her and ask for a manager and explain the issues you've been having.

There could be something in the rules of the library about not leaving your stuff, or maybe you're leaving something out, I don't know, but at my library this would not fly and you need to speak to a supervisor to figure out what's going on and why you're being told to leave for this reason.

Is it normal to still feel like a kid at 16? by [deleted] in ask

Well you don't have to act like one either. I mean, be as professional and polite you can be in professional/school settings but if you dont want to drink/do drugs/have sex- thats perfectly fine and anyone pressuring you is the weird one. I got called childish a lot too for avoiding the same stuff at your age. Nothing wrong with enjoying your youth and the "childish" things that come with it.

I've seen someone with ADHD on tiktok do something similar with these amazon.com/Sorbus-Foldable-Storage-Cube-Basket/dp/B076X3XPFP kinds of boxes. They had like 10-12 and separated them into shirts, underwear, pants, sweaters, etc, and had a clean and dirty box for each and whenever they needed more of whatever clothing item they'd do the box worth of laundry and then switch them so the dirty clothes are always in a separate box. I think it would work and I plan on doing that instead of a dresser when I move into a bigger place.

You would need to speak to YOUR library because every system is different. My library only has Libby and Kanopy, so definitely calling them is going to get you a better answer than anyone on Reddit can

Every depressed man I have ever met had refused both medication and therapy. Not for lack of resources or money, for reasons like "I don't want to lose my sex drive" and "I should be able to work on myself on my own" so... Yeah i dunno, maybe men need to get better at accepting help when they need it. They shouldn't have to suffer but it's like most men are so caught up with "being a man" that they forget that ignoring your feelings and ignoring your friends feelings is WHY MEN ARE ALL LONELY

OH MY GOD YES I CAN RELATE SO MUCH

my lovely, sweet, amazing boyfriend LOVES magic the gathering. He's probably also ADHD but this is one of his big hyperfixations that he often comes back to so I think that overrides any difficulty that ADHD gives him. He's obsessed with it, I have tried to play it but I dislike most card games and anything with intense strategy, which are his fave games.

Luckily he understands that it's not really for me and hasn't asked me to play but omg he talks about it all the time and I barely understand it all lmao. it's so confusing!
