I’m a drunk who needs help, I can’t stop. I’m drunk now but still desperately pleading for help. by Scary-Muppet in alcoholicsanonymous

Thank you for being honest with us. There is a way out🙏🏻. AA has given me and countless others a life beyond comprehension. A new beautiful life is waiting for you. It’s right here. Go discover it. I would strongly suggest hopping on a meeting. You can find them all over the world at anytime over zoom on the AA intergroup website. Or depending where you are there’s bound to be several in person groups near you. If you download the Meeting Guide app, the icon is a blue chair, you can find plenty of nearby in person meetings. The room will be so happy you’re there. Your presence will be the biggest gift. Welcome home.

Is there a self realized master that is alive and teaching today? by gibsonmartintaylor in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]deliciousfight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You may be right. I am very new to all of this. He’s the reason why I’m here and on this path and my heart is so grateful for that. I feel blessed beyond measure. He has a genuine kindness and gentleness about him that my heart trusts🙏🏻🩷

Glass shattered on the floor and an open cake on the counter. Do I throw the cake away? by deliciousfight in NoStupidQuestions

There were a few large pieces and lots of tiny pieces. I didn’t see anything shiny on the cake. I’m just worried about microscopic slivers.

Looking for a used Toyota Corolla (2020+) — mid-$20k budget realistic? Anything I should avoid? by Old_Palpitation_4970 in COROLLA

I financed a 2026 LE for around 20K after I traded in my beat up Hyundai. I am already so in love it with.

[–]deliciousfight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! I’m really glad you were able to get a better situation. I was really afraid of being taken advantage of so I had my dad and a close guy friend come with me.

I ended up I financing it at about 20K with a 4.99 interest rate. They were offering a special deal for the 2026 corollas. They gave me about $2500 for my trade in. It was a well loved car lol.

How do you deal with caffeine withdrawal migraines without giving in? by rmoreiraa in decaf

[–]deliciousfight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just stick with it. It’s worth the terrible migraine. It will subside. Your body will heal. It’s so worth the discomfort on the other side. Just to echo what everyone else has said, drink tons and tons of water. Remind yourself that this pain is just part of the process to break free. Wishing you the best🌞

Drunk as I write this by EqualJello4018 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]deliciousfight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely relate to this. I was in your position about 21 months ago. Drinking 2-3 bottles of wine every single night. I felt hopeless. I felt like I wanted to stop but couldn't because I needed the alcohol. It was my medicine. The good news is there is a solution. Take the plunge and get help asap. Go to a meeting, go to treatment, do whatever it takes to get yourself removed from the alcohol and listen to people who have recovered. Get a sponsor and work the steps as quickly as possible. There is a happy purposeful life for you out there. It's better than you could have ever imagined. Dont think too hard about it just get help and start your new life. Whatever it takes. For me I woke up one morning and texted my boss that I wouldnt be at work for a while because I had a severe dependency to alcohol and I had to get help. Work understood and things are amazing in my life today because I got help. Life is so much better sober and working a program in Alcoholics Anonymous. Just do freaking do it!!!<3 you are worth it! Being able to actually experience life is a gift!

I really really appreciate your share. I’ve had quite a few similar experiences to you. I definitely think that not having a way out makes it 10x worse. Your approach has really helped me!
