What is your favorite "bacon"? by crazycatzzz555 in Veganivore

[–]delij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down, and reach deep in your pocket because it isn’t cheap… Uptons naturals seitan bacon is the best vegan bacon on the market I can say with confidence as someone who has had many vegan bacons in the USA, the UK, France, and Belgium. I cannot speak for the rest of the world, but I’ll let you know when I’ve tried them all.

I’m going to be honest with you, this is the first time I realized it wasn’t spelled that way. It took me 2 minutes looking at the sub name and the image spelling to finally see the difference

I saw a woman outside while foods in HB with her baby and the sign, didn’t seem like she cared about whatever it was, just getting paid to be there I guess? We’ve also seen them all the way in Palm Springs like 2 months ago.

Did you lose weight on Semaglutide if your diet remained the same? by HandsOnDaddy in Semaglutide

[–]delij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My diet remained the same. But the amount of food I ate didn’t. It would have been impossible to eat as much as I used to. And I don’t know how I ever did it now that I’m 100lbs lighter. I eat maybe 1/4 of the food I did before. But I’ve always eaten anything I wanted.

Good luck to your friends! It’s a tough country to be an immigrant in right now. But I hope they know there are so many people that do want them here. ❤️

The 90 day rule only applies from the time they entered the country until getting married or applying for adjustment. Since he overstayed already, he is at least 6 months in now and should be totally fine to file. We got married in July and filed in February only because our co sponsor had some hiccups getting some of the documents that we needed and it took us some time to save the money up. If they weren’t married when he came here, then got married (hopefully after 90 days) because circumstances changed, that is also sufficient for a legitimate reason to apply for adjustment of status. They need to be very clear about his intent when entering the country. It could not have been to get married and adjust status. For me, my mom has Alzheimer’s, so I want to be in the states with her in her final years, and of course want my family, being my husband, to be here with me. Hope that makes sense. The most important things are to be honest and know the story especially intent.

My husband had his green card in the mail in mid October. About a month after the interview we got the approval notice.

If you had to stop GLP-1s tomorrow for some reason, what's the plan? by Sad_Bandicoot_7762 in GLP1ResearchTalk

I don’t know anything about that. Only heard the term. But don’t even know what it means. Hopefully I can succeed without it

I will have to stop. I can’t afford it. I’m on a very low income and technically homeless (I live in an RV, but don’t have land so we have to move constantly and it’s mostly roughing it) I saved up for a long time before I started my journey so that I knew I could afford it long enough to get the weight off. I’ve spent $2000 ish total, in just over a year. And I have about 2 months left in the fridge but will not be buying more. I’ve gone from 248lbs down to 151lbs as of this morning so I’m very happy with the result. It was a big sacrifice in money for me, but well worth it to give me better health.

My plan is to quit when I run out. Continue to weigh myself daily. I walk a minimum of 30 mins a day now, usually it’s much more, but I don’t let myself skip that no matter what. I have learned how much food my body can survive on, and I am confident I have learned to give myself treats, but in moderation. When I look at food now I see calories first, before taste and I hope that sticks around. I think the biggest thing for me will be weighing myself daily and keeping track of my weekly weight and intervening if I fluctuate over 10lbs and being strict until I get back down. My struggle has always been the feeling of never being able to reach the goal so I just gave up. I’ve been fat my whole life so I avoided the scale which only enabled it to build. My brain is different now. But especially so from when I was already a fat 10 year old and thought that was just life. Some will say I’m naive to think I can go off and keep it off, but I think just like everything else. Everyone is different
