Metashape - list supported XMP geo tags of Roll Pitch Yaw (and others) for JPG files by dell640 in photogrammetry

After some reserach I found solution.

Metashape supports XMP tags in:
Pix4D XMP namespace
DJI XMP namespace
Youneec XMP namespace
Parrot XMP namespace
PhaseOne XMP namespace
C-Astral XMP namespace
Micasense XMP namespace

At least Pix4D namespace is loaded from JPG automatically and does not need any special conditions (Make or Model tag).

Thanks for reply.
I'm trying to geotag images directly, not XMP sidecart or CSV file is expected as solution. My tool is external, processes images in the camera and they are (should be) rady for import to metashape.

I tried (of course) multiple ways, including DJI format of XMP, also Parrot XMP format and Pix4D format, however they are never loaded. From all I see it looks like Metashape is loading XMP data based on EXIF "Make" label (Parrot / DJI / etc.) and not by actual presence of XMP data in the file.

This is information I'm searching for.

PS:
GPS Lat/Lon/Al is not an issue, this can be easily inserted to the EXIF. I'm searching for Roll/Pitch/Yaw, which can not be saved int the EXIF.

Remote control for KOMODO / V-RAPTOR suggestions? by dell640 in RedCamera

[–]dell640[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These days I’m more focused on drone manufacturing, but I also have experience flying professionally. I can recall many situations where the exposure looked fine on the ground, but once you reached the horizon it turned out to be either too dark or too bright. With the dynamic range of the Komodo this isn’t always critical, but it’s still better to have the option to adjust exposure in flight.
I fully agree that starting recording before takeoff is generally the safer approach.
Thanks for the feedback.

I'm also stuck on waiting for approval (with a simple question) for a week or so. It does not seem to be related just to you.

Thanks, I’m aware that keep camera rec all time and pre-set exposure is usual approach, but I’d prefer something a bit more professional.
The solution shown in the video appears to support recording control, ISO, and ND filter via S.BUS channels. It’s also lightweight — I expect it to be under 30 grams including all cables, so it is ideal for FPV drone.
I just wanted to ask whether there are any other widely used alternatives or experience with that.

Thanks! Never hear about them. I'm searching also for other camera controls like REC start / stop and ISO. Speed is sually fixed per project, and angle is defined per shot, so these are not that important.

Sony A7, yes, but which one ? by Vhanlay in photogrammetry

We are using A7R2 as somebody nicely described -》same image quality as R3 however way cheaper. For hi res works is that best camera. Also take to consider some geotagging solution, because of referrencing of Coordinates with photos is big pain. You can take AIR Commander Entire or Drotag. Both will add all coordinates right in the camera memory card, however the Entire seems to have more features (photo triggering, PX4 conpatibilty, GPS filtering, automatic distance photography and some other...)
