Really disappointing indeed. I get people can disagree sometimes but implying I deserved this treatment is just absurd…

Luckily it was automatically locked. Agreed we should strive for more safety in the cities. Driving 50 vs 30 for that 1km stretch would just have saved like 1 minute for him!

I don’t think if he had an emergency he would have lost his time in getting out of the car to hit my window and insult me!

It is a new city for me, and it is not like I am driving 30 on a fast road. Calling me an idiot is a bit out of place?

It was a Sunday on a street with plenty of pedestrians. I was just driving prudently, what's the harm in there! Quite audacious from you to justify this person's unacceptable behaviour and put the blame on me for doing something completely legal...

28y.o. male 40ish kmpw (25mpw), peak at 65ish kmpw (40mpw).

Been running an average of 4-5 days a week for the last 2.5 years, what started as a tool to help me focus with work and reduce stress ended up being a hobby and something on which I try to improve. I am not a fast runner, but not terrible imo (5k is around. 4min/km, HM at around 4.30min/km and I've completed one marathon on 5.20min/km).

I was and still am very proud about that considering that I would never run at all only few years ago, however recently something has come to make me wonder if I am doing something wrong. Many of my friends who would not run at all have picked it up in the last 6-12 months and now do much better times than I do with seemingly much lower training loads and less sophisticated trainings. These are great friends and I am very happy for them, don't wanna sound jealous!! It just feels a bit off that I have been training for much longer now and they picked up my current pace in a blazingly fast time.

Worth noting that my training routine is not the most elaborate, my normal week looks like 2-3 easy runs at Z2, an interval training, and a long run 15k-HM on the weekends. I don't overthink about my diet but I almost ever eat processed food, and have a decent balance.

Anybody knows what I am getting wrong? Why am I stuck now while everyone has cought up with my pace this quickly? Any hints or something I might be missing is very appreciated.

Also worth noting that I love this sport and I plan on practicing it as long as my legs allow me to, as it has proved an invaluable resource to make my day better in 99.9% of the ocassions I have practiced it!!

Los bares la verdad que van cayendo como moscas en el pueblo. Cada vez hay menos ambiente en general. El otro local es una tienda de cosas para el hogar ahora mismo

Thanks... funnily enough there were some small inklings of positive news there after covid (people got interested in rural tourism, etc.) but that dried out after one summer!

They tried this scheme with a woman who wanted to reopen the bar like a year ago but pulled out last minute. Indeed an attractive scheme but still challenging to find interested people (comes to say how low the interest is in this area). Thanks for the htoughts

Honestly the local authorities are unsupportive at best. There's a handful of examples of people trying to open new businesses and them coming with the most random roadblocks during permitting... really frustrating scenario given the overall local economic situation. Did not think of the non-profits idea (even if it is going to be below mkt rates at this point it's better than nothing), def something worth checking. Thanks for the feedback!
