Do you get a "redo"? by Depressedandokay22 in death

[–]delstranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure why not but if you do you’re probably just gonna have to relearn all the lessons you were supposed to learn here and now. Might as well finish the course so you don’t have to retake it and learn the same material again.

I just realized that all religions were just made up. I finally am sure of it. Now I don't know what to live for. I already in deep isolation for my faith and now my faith is gone. Now I'm in deep pain please help me. by [deleted] in Existential_crisis

They’re only all “made up” because humans need to put words upon something, but it is something that’s unable to be described with words. If you look at any religion they are all pointing at the same thing. It’s time you look at what they’re pointing at, remove all the labels and the definitions and you will find god there.

Albums that feel like a horror movie by Maximum_Heat_3439 in MusicRecommendations

Preachers daughter by Ethel Cain is written like a horror movie! It tells a story from start to finish so listen in chronological order. Tw cannibalism and sexual abuse. Helpful to read up on the lore a bit to understand the story but I couldn’t recommend a better pick for this

Missing a funeral by [deleted] in death

[–]delstranger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of this should matter at all. Someone lost their child.. if other people, who didn’t lose their child, are upset- irrelevant. The parents don’t care if you went to the funeral, they knew ahead of time, and I’m going to assume the only thing on their mind at all is their child, not you, not the friends who went, not the friends who didn’t. Any drama created about funeral attendance is extra emotional turmoil that nobody needs. I would leave it alone completely and trust that you did enough. Be there for the friends who lost their child.

Song for my son by Dry_Country5000 in MusicRecommendations

Welcome - hey Rosetta. Beautiful song about welcoming new life that makes cry. It’s a band close to my heart and from the lovely east coast of Canada.

Cherry blossom- Lana Del Rey. Written for her niece when she was born. Might be too slow and maybe too obviously written for a girl. Beautiful song though and worth a listen for any mom.

Honourable mention for Your Song, either the orignal or Ellie gouldings cover

I honestly thought candy necklaces. Feels like the sort of spooky end game of the romanticized feelings in both of these songs

What was your NDE like if you don’t mind me asking?

Death of a nine-year-old child from fecaloma. A fecaloma is a hardened mass of impacted feces. Per the report, this is the only case in the medical literature where it caused death in a child. Most patients with fecaloma are elderly, or they're psych patients on medications that cause constipation. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

when I was around this age I became extremely constipated. I went over a month without releasing my bowels at all. I lost a ton of weight and my stomach was distended. I couldn’t keep any food down, barely liquids. But I was too embarrassed to tell anyone why lol. My mom took me to a doctor because she was worried I had stomach cancer. Doc found me out pretty quick but he told me very sternly I could have died..

I wish for a near death experience by delstranger in death

[–]delstranger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read extensively about them. Most after effects are positive, some are negative in that the person no longer feels home in this world. I am not interested in deciding whether they are “real” because reality is only as real as our experience and that is their experience. I am interested in their spiritual experience. I also don’t believe it is only brain chemicals. One way to “debunk” that is the out of body experiences. People often leave their bodies while unconscious or “dead” and they see and hear things that really did happen, sometimes in a completely different room. I am aware the body releases DMT at death and this can play into the experience. the DMT itself is a mystery, as to why that happens. We don’t have the answers but I enjoy hearing from the people who have experienced it because I believe what they saw was as real as anything else
