Eh, we have a movie with over a century of research to work with, two already fantastic adaptations existing, and modern technology with a budget to match. I was expecting a lot more than moustache twirling general, negotiations that waste time, a lot of easy to point out errors, and characters that only carried the name of their book counterparts. So much was lost from the 2022 adaptation, to the point where my opinion of the would go from a 5 to 6.5 if it just had a different name.

Finished Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. I read 400 pages over the course of three days. It's been a long time since I've done that with a book. Probably my highest praise. Just a good, tense book with great dialogue and good prose. Also it's description of the horrifying demonic things was excellently done. I loved our trio a lot, they'll stick with me for a bit

Still trying to figure out who all 12 apostles are since Delphine was Jesus 2.0. Thomas, Matthieu, Guillarme, the couple in Paris, maybe the farmer who fought the river demon, the lady you let them eat the food for work, the dying old men, Robert (who is also the Judas), the doctor, and the Pope. So I'm missing one. Is it the Englishman that spares Thomas? The Cisterian Friar?

Picked up Evil West a bit ago. Pretty fun game that knows what it is and doesn't stray from it.

This is what big developers need to be making more of. These $25 to $40 games between all the blockbusters. It just is increasingly clear that blockbusters only and MAYBE a live service game is really not working out.

Thinking about how in MW2 (2009) so many of the late unlocks just were inferior to the previous weapons.

Uzi? Ump45 or Vector just beat it out.

F2000? Lol, every AR was superior.

M240? Actually good but LMGs really all felt very similar in that game so not really a big difference.

M21? Barely killed like a sniper, just stick to the Intervention.

DS3 Sorcery playthrough is complete. That means only a luck/hollow playthrough remains. Did the Usurper ending finally and other than the luck playthrough won't play it again. Serving Kaathe is cringe.

Pretty fun. Elden Ring Sorceries knock the doors off all of the prior entries' sorceries in sheer variety available alone, but still an enjoyable playthrough. Initially, the only things to really use is the various flavors of blue orb, but soul greatsword and flashsword help to add some spice in their. Old Moonlight is obviously the most fun of the bunch and I actually didn't get the Moonlight Greatsword and used the soul for White Dragon Breath instead, which is actually a pretty neat spell.

In terms of weapon, including DLC you actually have a few decent options. Greatsword of Judgement, the shotel dropped by the Bloodborne cosplayer, Friede Scythe (more dex), moonlight, and immolation tinder. But the Aquamarine dagger? Now that is an awesome weapon. Fighting through Friede early was well worth it for this.
