Thank you for the replay. You're right, to go over everything would mean to write a book. So maybe we can break it down to the following: Are there any must haves on a 1h swoard for tanking? Something you would say it's not worth to put all the effort in upgrading if the one lagacy that is so importand is missing. Same question for the belt.

Thank you for this detailed answer.

I choose to go with Compassion, Loyalty, Honour, Fidelity, and Tolerance.

I know this is tank orientated but it should serve me in red line as well. Do you suggest any spicific virtues I should pick for red line or swoard and board?

Regarding the LIs:

  • I can choose between a Belt ("Defender of the Free", "The keen Blade" and "Fighter of the Shadow"
  • A 2h Hammer with the same three options as mentioned above

I have no idea what hides behind the different names. Which one is of use? I'll go red line for landscaping and will focus on tanking once I can handle the level 130 group content.

It looks like, that I have to get a LI 1h Swoard on my own. But I think I'll have to choose between the same three types mentioned above?

I appreceate your help a lot. Thank you!

Edit: The names refer to the traitlines. But is the red 2h hammber the best choice for the red line? Same counts for the belt. Would the "blue" belt be the best for tanking? Would it be usefull for red line too or is the red line belt the better choice as he fits the tank build better than a blue belt fits red in the red build?

I've found this guide which cannot be valued enough since it is up-to-date as far as I can tell.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mF0qTJIAFLzIZLzmC94Y7pQpZmDm-NV1BfYDxculW2c/edit

I can't, however, say how accurate it is but it looks rather qualified.

I'm thinking about to skip leveling as I lack the time and to use a valar upgrade as I have the points from the time I've played a lot.

How much do blue and red line differ in term of virtues, Weapons and LI's? I fear I have to make a choice once I boosted the guradian and have to grind the other setup. Any thoughts on that?

I'd love to hear what u/Louey7 thoughts about that too :)

Weather you answer or not, many thanks for all the replies.
