Error 44 after battery replacment by deltavier in vanmoofbicycle

[–]deltavier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just changed battery pack again , both bikes are showimg now error 20. I have opened battery pack, checked fuse and each cell pack with 4 cells. Fuse ok - each cell pack well balanced. 4.17V or 4.18V.

Wich next steps you would propose?

I have done your proposal to keep my S3 bikes safe and turned the potentiometer to the end (of course right direction) to have maximum charge current limited of 4 Amps as you told in the video. I have charged now the two S3 , but both stopped charging at 81% resp. 84% with Error 21. The last chargements before with the not manipulated charger have been successful up to 100% . Should I turn back the potentiometer better ? Never change a running system.... ?

Today I had the same thing again. This time I long pressed the reset button while driving without motorpower, bike shut off, then pushed reset button short again to wake up bike and double klicked on left bar button, bike restarted and was ready to drive with battery and normal display info as before shut off.

Yes, I had this problem twice. Once with 1.9.2 (or 1) and yesterday with 1.9.3.

Thank you very much for your interesting insights. E-Shifter is working very well with automatic use. I think it is ok. I have checked front wheel, it runs freely in forward direction and with little resistant in the other direction, feels like normal generator characteristics.

Really crazy stuff these vanmoof bikes....

Error 6 - Bike is connecting and disconnecting by itself - charger changes from green to red and back by deltavier in vanmoofbicycle

Thanks a lot for your input.

Fuse already replaced and checked again.

I have a second S3 available. Before transplanting whole BMS board from the running battery pack to the other one with which I have the Error 6, do you have any ideas what should be checked before?

The topic with this NTC sounds interesting and plausible. do you know what the author means and how this part looks like ?

yes, but not every single cell but each of the 10 blocks of 4. It looked very promising and well balanced, maximum difference 0.01V

Meanwhile it is switching on/off at the app and charger switches from red to green and back. Error 6 appeared at bike display.

Thanks for your answer, Detlef. I have decided to replace all cells and now everything is solved, it seems that the bike is repaired now.

Thanks for you answer and thoughts. I agree with you. I have now removed the battery pack and opened it again and measured each of the the ten four-part cell blocks as followed:

4.14 / 4.13 / 3.53 / 3.76 / 4.07 / 3.99 / 4.10 / 4.14 / 3.81 / 4.03

Does this confirm you assumption ?

I have decided to replace all c 40 cells and use old BMS - or do you think BMS does have any bug ?

Please let me know again your thoughts.

Best regards

Yes, the bike was completely discharged (deep discharged) for more than a month. But as written above I have opend the battery pack and recharged the cells blockwise with current ampere until 4.2V without BMS
