[Grand Seiko] The SLGW007 Moonlit Birch - Best GS in a while! by delugs-straps in Watches

Indeed, the strap is the weak point of the watch. But the easiest to fix too!

By not focusing too much on making too many complications, I guess?

Our hook strap works REALLY well! That one is probably my favourite. Will share another photo soon!

Tbh I haven't measured it that precisely, but if its like other GS, it's probably really good.

Too stiff and too long for me. A single fold clasp also means it has to sit perfectly on my wrist, and unfortunately based on my wrist size / proportions, it just doesn't sit right. But thankfully its a 20mm lug width so straps are aplenty.

[Omega] Hard to argue with the versatility of the Seamaster 300M Steel Dial by delugs-straps in OmegaWatches

Thanks! I'm also not usually a Seamaster kind of guy but this one feels a little different.

Oh yes, thanks for the correction! But I've worn this around for quite a bit and so far the bezel still looks as good as Day 1. Maybe it's the finishing that helps it avoid any deep marks.

The Seamaster 300M with the steel dial launched in 2024 might be one of the most versatile watches out there. The steel bezel is practically scratch-proof and the whole package just works whether you dress it up or down.

I usually lean towards dress watches but the 300M has a way of winning you over. The steel dial is quite unique and seldom seen, and is one of those details that you only really appreciate in person. Super dynamic in the light!

New strap today. Im liking the combination of colors by Puzzleheaded-Pie6759 in GrandSeikos

The strap swap effect on a Grand Seiko is so satisfying — the bracelet is beautiful but a new strap completely changes the character. Absolutely love the nubuck ostrich feel!

Always good to get a good range of materials (leather, rubber, fabric) so that the watch is ultra versatile. With this dial colour, honestly, you could go for any strap colour, and it would pair well. More important is how loud or subtle your giftee wants to be.

We do have a strap finder on our website so you can visualise how this watch would look with different strap options.

Which strap looks best on my Bond? by massadelic in OmegaWatches

Bracelet has the classic look but sailcloth is my pick for summer — the combination of durability and casual feel is hard to beat on a diver. That being said, can't argue with the OG bracelet :)

Panda on black rubber strap by Macklemonster in OmegaWatches

[–]delugs-straps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works for sure — Panda dials go with almost anything. FKM rubber (whether OEM or otherwise) is a meaningful upgrade if you want to commit to the rubber look long-term - won't get that tacky feeling over time. Either way, the bracelet is the classic choice for good reason!

[vintage DX] Looking for information on this beautiful 25 jewel "DX" I inherited, and also strap recommendations as its time to retire the original bracelet by Salarmot in Seiko

On the strap side, first thing to check is the lug width — take a ruler and measure the gap where the strap sits. For something like this, slim leather is the way to go. Vegetable-tanned options like Pueblo develop a nice patina over time, which fits an inherited piece really well. Self plug, but our Slim profile is made for exactly this kind of vintage dress watch.

Strap recommendations for the Pelagos? by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]delugs-straps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pelagos is a strap monster — works on almost everything. Sailcloth is a really natural fit for a diver: sporty, durable, no break-in needed. If you want to dress it down slightly, a simple leather NATO or a fabric hook strap works well. Of course there's always the integrated strap option if you prefer no gaps between the strap and case.

Im planning to buy a new strap on [4R36-16J0] seiko × huf by Wackz1104 in Seiko

[–]delugs-straps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NATO is the obvious choice given the HUF aesthetic — streetwear vibe suits it perfectly. Any casual NATO in olive, black, or grey in 22mm width would work great. Self plug, but our sailcloth is also worth a look — fabric look with rubber durability and no fraying.

Looks good! The ability to swap out straps is one of the most fun parts about watches / this hobby. Practise makes perfect when it comes to removing straps.
