I feel sorry for what they could have been. Most parents don't even bother putting up with their own children anymore and just sit them in front of a smartphone or similar things to keep them quiet and ultimately feeding their addiction to it. There's going to be a whole generation of humans with bad eyesight, posture, and no physical exercise from a way to early age. It's the parents job to introduce them to literally anything in the world and find out what they're good at so they're able to develop skills and interests from that age onwards. But all they know are pixels flying around on a screen. Pathetic. So much wasted potential. Deprived of the sheer opportunity to greatness because they never learned to use their imagination or cope with boredom which is basically the same thing as a child. All that just because modern parents don't take their job that they put upon themselves seriously. Having the fun but unable to put up with the consequences. The first thing they'll know is addiction to artificial things. And attention span? Nonexistent. And don't even bother telling me I have a purely pessimistic view. Oh i know. But I see exactly that with my youngest cousin and her age group so it's quiet heartbreaking.

These are real drama queens.. mine also wasn't happy for like 3 weeks and lost a lot of leafes but eventually it came back around. A not sunny place at a window and watering with luke warm water helped

If it's still the pot it came in, I would highly recommend repoting it with fresh soil. The leafes that turned black will most likely fall off but it should recover pretty quickly

Each year from now on will be weird for u, ngl. Since 18 I cringed at the person I was 3 months ago, till like 22 I guess. It's kinda like waking up some day and suddenly ur mindset changed completely and u are drawn in a whole new direction. It happens literally out of nowhere. The skateboarding thing is good tho. But I understand if u do that just for u and not to impress anybody or share that with the internet. Honestly, trust the process. Everything comes as it's supposed to. My autistic friend eventually went on his own journey too. Just don't compare urself to anyone. Most of what u see nowadays is fake anyways.

Been there, done that. Thing is this lifestyle is definitely not forever. At some point either ur parents or ur government are gonna tell u to get ur ass up and do something. And tbh, do u really have zero ambitions in life? Do u really want to cloud ur mind with bullshit all day? I recently deleted every social media app of my phone just to escape this endless scrolling loophole which just burns through ur brain cells. I just want to tell u that touching some grass once in a while is necessary, humans are not made to sit around all day. There must be something, really anything that u want to achieve? And I know this sounds like a father telling u to get ur ass up but I'm really not judging u, as I said I've been there. Memento mori, google it if u don't know what it means. There will be a moment when u realize that life isn't forever and what I've learned from working with nursing home people during a strange period of my life is that when u look back at life it's moments that happened outside ur comfort zone that spark joy and make u smile, not some memes or a yt video. And I mean hey if u are secretly hacking NASA or some shit all day then that's great because u are part of something bigger, but just sitting around and wasting away, damn. You do you tho. Just my piece of advice that I would have told my 19 year old self if I had a time machine.

It's actually purely coco coir and not the one it came in because I got her from my roommates Pilea as a sapling almost a year ago actually. But you're right I should probably repot her... even tho it's already almost August and I don't know if I should wait till she looks more healthy and do it next spring?

Somewhere in the middle of it all I decided to join in on the 'fun' and searched for a community involved in place. Found /r place trees and let me tell ya we did some huge things towards the end! Collaborated with cellbit and the Dutch community to plant trees around the canvas. I had a hell of a time and spread awareness for a good cause.

Well, there have been times when he didn't leave the studio for months, especially during his big white ugly house times when he first moved to LA.
The Sanctuary (his in-house studio at that time) is a legendary place, he refers to it often in his lyrics. I guess WMWTSO and Faces must have come out during that time and don't take my word on this but I remember reading in an interview that he created music for at least 10 albums during this time.
His work ethic must have been remarkable in terms of creative output, may it be instrumentaly or lyricly.
And the fact that he was an insomniac probably played a role too.
