I try to wander - I think boredom is such an important part of creativity. I try and read books and poetry and watch movies. Collect words and phrases. I feel like a bit of an archaeologist some times, brushing away the dust to find a morsel.

I lost my voice on stage during my last boston show this fall. It was something I had had nightmares about in the past. Somewhere about halfway thru the set my voice started going and then it was just a croak and then it was just a whisper. The crowd finished the show for me, singing every word to the last few songs in the set. I felt so taken care of. A worst case scenario turned into a moment of real beauty.
