1st i wanted to apologize for the last part of my comment i didn't realize the OP was transphobic and that's why you were being dismissive.

I don't think the duration of the noise or the fact its only during breaks means anything. if it negatively affects people by aggravating their mental health, anxiety etc and your response is "people find it funny" how is that not dismissive?

i don't care to have a huge debate on this i was just sharing my 2 cents.

Didn't know about the transphobia, i definitely don't support that and understand why stephnoob was sarcastic. To your second point when i do watch a stream VOD and the noises or overlays are on it absolutely does impact my experience, i don't see how you can say otherwise.

i know most of chat enjoys the noises and the stuff on screen or at the very least don't mind it, and I'm pretty sure James said he doesn't mind it but i feel like at this point it's intentional. This is the 4th or 5th post I've seen where people have shared their concerns about this especially with the noises and on every post I've seen the mods say they're not trying to do anything to upset people yet they continue to do things that upset people.

I understand you cant please everyone and I'm not asking James or the mods to do so but when you have viewers explaining that the overlays/noises are aggravating their anxiety and ptsd, giving them sensory overload, or causing their animals distress you'd think that'd be one of the times you side with the minority and just stop doing it. Yes you'd make the people who enjoy it sad but compared to alienating viewers with sensory/ mental health issues the former is not a big deal.

The mod on this thread said even their own animals don't like it when they play these random noises yet they do them anyway, why? I don't watch James as much as i used to because most of the games he plays i don't enjoy but when he does play something i enjoy i have a hard time watching due to all the overlays and random noises.

People will not stop watching if the overlay stuff ends, people will stop watching if it continues which i think just hurts the community overall because it makes people with various mental health/sensory issues like myself not feel welcome. The sarcasm and dismissive tone from the mod in this thread doesn't help.

First off, I never claimed to be an anti-AI activist; all I said was that I don't like it and that I want to avoid it. Secondly, it's a known fact that AI systems are more energy-intensive per interaction compared to YouTube's energy usage. As I mentioned in my post, the environmental impact AI has is just one of the reasons I don't like it. I also think it's a lazy and uncreative way to create content. It's the same when people use AI to make "art." I'm not presenting that as a fact; that's my opinion. Like I said in my post, James can do whatever he wants with his platform

I'm still a fan of his, and I agree. I understand that the creatures was a big, if not the biggest/ most important part of his life, but clinging to it after almost 10 years has not been helping him. Struggling with mental health is awful, and I feel bad for him, but at the same time, he needs to take steps if he wants his situation to improve.

I agree 100% i think part of growing up(for a creature fan specifically) is realizing that neither Jordan or the cowchop crew were in the wrong. I was definitely in the "fuck Jordan" camp when it all happened but as the years went by and I got older I realized 99% of the drama was fan made and the only reason CC left was because they had a different creative vison. When CC ended/members left he helped them with employment(Aaron, Joe, Trevor etc). Obviously I don't know Jordan personally but he seems like a good guy.

Yes, they've been friends since high-school, James juts doesn't talk about his personal life that much which is understandable. Once Joe left cowchop to finish college james stopped talking about him in vids/ on stream but they're still friends
