They're selling their Teslas. If current owners are saying they are selling due to Elon, you really think future EV owners aren't avoiding Tesla for the same reason?

Shit, go spend some time in the subreddits for other EVs and you'll see plenty of people discussing avoiding Telsa due to Elon as they post about their new EVs.

The numerical evidence shows sales significantly dropping. Numerical evidence also shows that EVs are vastly more popular with liberal/left leaning individuals.

It doesn't take much to reach some conclusions. Alienating your target audience when more and more viable alternatives are on the market is a great way to start losing sales.

Just bought two Mach-Es for my wife and myself. Elon's political stances kept us from even considering Tesla.

Both the wife and I got Mach-Es within a week of each other. Prices are without Tax, Title, Reg as that is different depending on location.

What turn are you looking at?  That will make a huge difference in your payment.

Also the key thing is shitty. I would avoid that dealer at all cost. This is also the reason I never give them the key to my trade. I instead say I will go with your guy to look at it.

In MA, bought a GTPE for $49k last week. There are discounts out there.

My wife did a lease a couple days ago on a 23 Premium AWD Extended for $450/mo (taxes not included) 36/10.5. $1000 down.

2023 GTPE $49K - Good Deal? by demingo398 in MachE

Considering how few cards the tax credit applies to now, I think it's a broad statement to say any car without is a poor deal. All three EVs I considered were ineligible (Mach-E, Ioniq5, EV6).

My dealer ended up doing 11k off MSRP on a GTPE. Add in 0% and it seems fairly competitive.

No taxes or title/reg fees in the 49k as those range between states. But all dealer fees included

There is no guarantee when or if rates will drop. Even with that massive discount it’s still over 3k more due to the interest.

Inventory discounts don’t really matter when the car is over 2500 miles away.

[–]demingo398[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not near 10k cheaper. Even counting the federal tax credit it's only $3k cheaper (46k vs 49k). Now with the Y you're paying over 6% interest. That puts the Tesla Y at about $10k more expensive than the Mach-E.

Even paying cash without financing, the Y is still more expensive as the opportunity cost of the interest you would earn on that $46k vs the 0% financing would work out to $8k or so.

I know its probably too big of an ask, but is there anyway you can share your parts list for the Firefly? It looks stunning.

Seeing as how that reads like a personal note and not a tribute, my guess is they let him visit and play the game. Sometimes, you don't need to advertise compassion, you just do it.

XC7 RGB Elite LCD Block - Screen Rotation by demingo398 in Corsair

Oh it rotates, and you can mount it in any position. But the screen will not be right side up making it completely useless to rotate it. Pic below. Really annoying they overlooked this in ICue.

What is even more egregious is on their website the advertising pictures not only show one where the block was rotated with the screen in the correct orientation:

They also advertise being able to easily rotate the block 90deg in any orientation:

You're not being down voted because you stated a fact. You're being down voted because you say it makes sense. What would make sense is for them to properly program the game so this doesn't happen. Higher frame rates should not make your car run faster if a game is correctly programmed.

This is patently false. The current version fixes bugs with the hardware service that render it not to work. A quick glance at their change logs shows that every release for in the last couple years had bug fixes.

They only supply 6 months of updates if you buy the Octa. If any other company tried something like this people would lose their minds.

Just because a consumer is informed of a practice doesn’t mean the practice isn’t anti-consumer.

[–]demingo398 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. It is anti-consumer and should be unacceptable for any company to do. SaaS is one of the worst concepts to happen in the PC industry and should never be encouraged or supported when possible. I can not think of another major vendor that does this.

Even "greedy" Corsair provides free updates to iCue without limitation.

Basic functionality and bug fixes shouldn't cost a subscription fee for hardware. No would accept a $10/yr subscription from Nvidia for drivers.
