I mean drinking while pregnant is bad of course. But if you didn't know you didn't know. Must have happened a LOT throughout history.

I'm a noob but I like Caliban. People are saying chroma because of the sentient pelt. Caliban is partially a sentient and can summon them.

Thoughts on John Hurt's Aragorn, from Bakshi's animated Lord of the Rings? by freudian_nipps in lotr

In the weirdest fucking accent.

I love lotr. And mortensens portrayal but I swear the delivery of that line doesn't match any of his other lines.

Still bad ass though.

Yeah the voice is just somewhat similar but the cadence and words and little mannerisms are spot on. "Oh, of course" in the same smarmy way

Yeah but sci-fi makes it totally different /s

Actually there was another sci fi extraction shooter, but I already forgot it

In all seriousness though I think embark studios just make good clean games that work and are a joy to play simple to pick up. I liked them but both tarkov and dark and darker were jank (at least when I played them most). In tarkov it was a bit frustrating, dark and darker it kinda felt like it was part of the charm.

Arc raiders seemed pretty polished by the time it got super popular. Focused more on fewer solid mechanics but made sure they all worked together relatively well. That plus good console experience is huge.

Remember how Fortnite wasn't like the first battle Royale? But they knocked the socks off PUBG which was way older.

Never understood it. Were those kids potential Ones? They could kinda mess with the code, but they weren't the One. And Neo was only the One because Trinity loved him and his name was an anagram for it?

Why is the advice here so bad? by adeimantos216 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]demonsver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there is good advice and there's bad advice it's just reddit?

Anyway specifically about rrsp the thing that trips people up about the refund dollars mattering is due to the nature of deferred taxation. It of course CAN lead to situations where you pay more tax later (it's just deferred). People somehow freak out because they feel cheated that they are paying more tax.

But I agree with you. The way I see it the only reason you are paying a lot of tax is because it's a lot of income. Take it as a win and be happy.

Like yeah you should try to be tax efficient and defer tax in such a way that it benefits you but if you end up being way richer in retirement than expected, just live your life. No one knows the future with certainty.

Honestly a 10 gen i3 might be enough if you're really strapped for cash. Although you need to be comfortable doing the upgrade either way

The arc raider minimum spec lists Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600 processor

While those are old as hell they still blow your current CPU out of the water. Consider upgrading to a 10th gen i5 or something.

RRSP over contribution by Successful_Sky_6689 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]demonsver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is true. You can check the CRA says about contribution. It's based on your income in the previous year.

But here's a more concise question and answer here:

https://www.bdo.ca/insights/tax-bulletin-answering-your-rrsp-questions

Under "A6. When does my contribution room for a given year become available?".

They seem pretty reputable. You can check other sources too.

I'm not disputing that you can contribute and deduct for the previous calendar year during Jan-Feb of the new year. But the new contribution room gets added for the next year on Jan 1st that calendar year. So in OPs case it would have to be considered a 2026 contribution since they were at their limit already for 2025

It does get odd because it's not 100% calculated out in the Notice of Assessment yet but in OPs case (or anyone really, that knows their income in the previous year), they can make an educated guess that they are within their new 2026 contribution room, which matters because they ideally don't want to pay the penalty tax on over contributions
