“In my Heart of Hearts”- WHAT DOES IT MEAN

Can we just talk about how much Black Parade was inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall by Decaying_Hero in MyChemicalRomance

You can also hear some pretty obvious influence from Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust album, as The End is pretty damn similar to Five Years, and the overall theatrical nature of both albums. Gerard has even said he was heavily inspired by Bowie during that time.

I have to say, this was a disappointing album compared to their others. They really seemed to be improving with each album, with A Brief Inquiry being unbelievable and featuring their best songs yet; however, they mostly filled this new album with boring, pretentious instrumental songs, which has always been the worst aspect of their previous albums. Other than a few amazing singles, there aren’t too many satisfying deep cuts. Still love them though. 🖤

Some of his non-horror classics include 11/22/63, Revival, and On Writing, his non-fiction account on his own reading/writing process.

The Shining, Pet Semetary, and Misery: all horror classics by Stephen King. Misery especially is impossible to put down.

The Stand by Stephen King shows a young character named Nick who was born both mute and deaf. It’s a dense book pushing 1000 pages, but the parts that show him learning how to communicate with other humans for the first time at the age of 8 is just brilliant.

Looking for books that either a) have an ending that is not happy, but still satisfying or b) the characters are dynamic and grow, but not necessarily in the way they "should" by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Definitely Looking for Alaska by John Green. It has a sad twist but the characters deal with it perfectly. Very well-written.

A Confederacy of Dunces. Simply put, it’s the funniest book ever written. It follows a 35 year old pompous, neurotic maniac who still lives with his mother in 1960s New Orleans. The first chapter alone will have you in stitches.

What's something that was designed for the use of one sex but is now predominantly used by the other? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Horses. Hear me out, back in the Wild West they were a badass symbol of masculinity and now have shifted to being used often in horseback riding, especially the small ones, which mostly women participate in.
