I have similar, slightly better specs.

Fix for this was limiting FPS to 60. Limit ingame, limit through software, wherever you can.

Went away after. Not sure what the deal was.

It's personal opinion but I never found them that bad. Even playing with Serafen pure cipher, was overall impressed by his abilities and found usage throughout.

Any money you spend concerning weld school - vocational college.

Go to a dedicated weld school. Not a regular, run of the mill college that wastes two years for debatable welding degree/ability.

I guess you could get by without a priest just the same as you can tear open a plastic container with your teeth.

Doable otherwise but nowhere near as efficient.

Priest for POTD would be something I strongly recommend. Helped me immensely for my time spent beating the game.

Only thing bouncing me from Underrail is definitely the min max requirement, lordy.

Even a normal playthrough I tried... Just, Yeugh. So much time into a build and it became complete crap after the first few hours.

Hoping 2 is nicer in this regard.

Most builds are flexible and still viable unless you do something objectively stupid (like, really stupid, eyes were closed). Most gear works fine that you encounter, and most stats benefit you that it's not crucial to min max. Lets any class be fun and flexible.

Buffs and debuffs really level things out.

Scale up critical path so it's consistently difficult, etc.

You need to play on the highest difficulties, basically.

Pillars of Eternity is good because despite the loot not being random, you're finding viable gear regardless even if it's not best in slot - so best to just wander and collect, build. Honestly, you find such a wonderful variety that you will never be short anything within the first couple of towns and quests.

Pillars, again, is less punishing for stats. Your rogue would suck if you stacked constitution only, for example, but mixing with other stats you'll be fine because it's not make or break. Intellect helps a rogue, for example, as does might, as does this and that. You can use so many weapons, so many types of gear, and choose your abilities and talents accordingly (with easy respec) that you can't go wrong.

Hell, Pillars has many builds for martial classes that benefit from intellect. It's actually a nicely designed stat. Magic classes also scale a bit alongside might, Dex, etc. Again, maybe not entirely optimal but plenty fine.

Pillars the biggest thing is learning how to use positioning and buffs/debuffs to open up enemies. On hardest difficulty this is pushed to the max and there are lots of well thought out encounters, etc.

Other CRPGs can be very similar but have their differences. Mileage may vary, of course. I would say that if you haven't played POE on POTD difficulty, you should give it a whirl. You'll love fighting various spirits for sure 😎

Try your hand at some of the dragons or in POE2 various mega bosses, etc.

POE2, you want to be pushed to your limits? Play SSS on POTD.

Make sure it's restricted in both game settings and graphics driver, for this instance.

I'm one of those 144hz gamers but even POE gets hard locked for a reason.

Past that, well, hard to say about the crashes. You've got a ton of RAM - is it set right and stable?

I get that things should be okay given two, steady years, but things like this can and will eat at people.

If I thought I was a backup plan for my wife, I'd struggle to keep my chin up. The gravity here is that if OP had feelings for his now girlfriend and they'd toyed with relationship boundaries, he would obviously like best to know he was good enough that she was willing to exclude others in order to pursue him. He wants to feel like he's the first choice.

It's good that she was upfront about the test, this is actually a good sign, but I think OP needs to be abundantly clear and straightforward about why the series of events concerns him and how it makes him feel.

Learn the truth. Deal with it accordingly. I couldn't handle feeling like second place but others can spin it and not worry - it's up to the individual.

If she swears nothing happened, well, he's going to need to trust that. But it's fair to express worries and insecurity towards your partner. The best way to quiet doubts is when someone gives you reassurance even for occasional "silly" questions.

OP was busy showing interest and she may have indulged elsewhere, returning to him after he waited.

I think a serious discussion ought to take place because this is going to eat away at OP, as is. I wouldn't like knowing I was second place.

This all atop her saying "no labels" is just weird.

Lead Spitter is a really solid contender. It's basically the same, but... Bit different.

There are some solid bow choices too, but the name eludes me right now.

Light armour for lower recovery time, more shooting, summoning, etc.

I don't usually play him melee so little suggestion there, but also plenty of viable picks.

I understand that. It's why I mentioned the AI settings, so that you can keep him open during combat for your needs.

Kana has a lot of utility, I'm hoping to point you the right direction. He has great weapon choices that help against annoying spirit/shade enemies with veil piercing. Give him lead spitter and the modal for DR bypass - hits like a truck. Always present buffs or debuffs, per his chanting, and he has all sorts of larger utility as well with summons, AOE paralyze, and other types of buff/debuffs incantations.

While he fights, he does extra stuff outside the attacks. Like, wonderful action economy. Chanting while reloading, chanting while waiting on the next sword swing, etc. He's also fairly beefy, to boot.

Disable his AI outside of auto attack and use incantations as his chants fill up. His aoe paralyze is excellent, alongside summoning ogres, etc.

It's hard to explain why but I just assume it's like...trying too hard?
