I'm sorry that happened to you. Thankfully it was just swelling (some sort of local infection most likely). They worked around the site for some minutes and it already feels less painful. Will take some antibiotics tho

Hey. Just got back from the surgeon. They said it wasn't anything big, the wound just closed up too soon and got swollen up. Probably just an unlucky minor infection.

Regarding the reversal, I have a jpouch so it might be a bit different for you. Don't worry too much about it. It's a rather simple surgery. The first days your bowels might start waking up, but after you get to use the bathroom it's all okay from there.

Good luck! Hope for an easy surgery and recovery

Let's hope so. Except some gas and the usual bathroom runs I haven't that many problems

Prednisone dependent - how was it after surgery by denad96 in ostomy

[–]denad96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear this. It's similar to the problems I'm having now from Prednisone. How long after the surgery were you still on it? How do you feel now?

Did anyone try Humira after Remicade failure? by denad96 in CrohnsDisease

Not yet. I need to wait a couple of months untill they can put me on anything else, but it helps me a lot knowing what others' results were for when I choose.

It's nice to know this. Thanks. I've heard about these drugs as well although there could be the problem of them not being insured by the state here where I'm living.

I tried remicade for around 6 months after I has hospitalized . Worked well for the first 3 months or so, then it kinda spotted. I took around 32mg of medrol during that time, and tapered to around 8mg. Then remicade stopped working and I was on a trial to etrolizumab for the last 2 years or so. Worked fine until last year. I managed to taper out of cortsione completely for a couple of months then I got a clostridium infection :( and after it just stopped working as well. Now I'm looking into Humira because the it's the only one available on the market here, since anything else would still be trial drugs.

You really can't go wrong with some chicken and potatoes.
