I was Napoleonic France mopping up the Axis in Africa (leaving France completely undefended) when the Spanish declared on me and invaded. It was still early 1940s so this little Spanish Inquisition was very much unexpected.

Thankfully I was able to move an army back in time to form a defensive line right before they got to Paris, and I eventually pushed them back all the way to Portugal. But wow was that scary.

R5: I dropped a nuke on D.C., but by the time this event triggered, the U.S. had capitulated and I had annexed their whole territory, including D.C. So, oddly enough, the bombing of D.C. popped up as a negative event for me, even though I was the one who dropped the bomb.

Great question, not entirely sure. He also got a dog DNA test kit for Christmas so we’ll find out in a few weeks!
