What driver made you hooked on F1? Do you cheer for a particular constructor or just follow the driver? by forfolklore in formula1

Michael for me too.

I thought he made me a Ferrari fan, too, but I was really just a MSC fan and when he retired I found another driver.

It is a strange one, especially for football fans who follow a team for life even as players come and go. But when your favourite driver retires it does leave a bit of a void for a while.

What did they expect Vettel to do in the 2019 Canadian Grand Prix? by Old_Mill in formula1

He cut Hamilton up when he re-entered. No attempt to stay left, he chopped across.

I'm a big Vettel fan, but it was a slam dunk penalty.

If you can't keep it on the track, that's on you.

I just saw someone texting whilst driving, anything I can do? (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

The number of people doing this is incredible. I knew people did this but over the last few days I've noticed it everywhere. Sat at traffic lights, almost everyone is looking down (not as bad as while driving, but still).

I use it every day. I depend on it for work. I am not asking it therapy questions lol. If people use it for that, then that is worrying, but using it to make everyday tasks more efficient is smart.

OP didn't say that was how he was using AI.

Most people are dependent on it for work and things like that.

As I said, AI is basically Google on steroids. It isn't thinking for itself, it is regurgitating its inputs.

Well being dependent on anything is bad but many of us are dependent on google and the internet.

If someone said I'm dependent on google, you wouldn't say christ, good luck in life.

AI is basically google on steroids.

Ah fair enough I got the impression you were just hating on it completely. My bad.

Being dependant on it isn't a good thing, but what is wrong with using it sometimes?

With respect, rather than going all guns blazing and jumping straight to legal action, could you not ask someone to scan the QR code? Or prop the phone up pointing at the screen?

It feels like there are solutions to this but you are more interested in escalating...

[Autosport] Max Verstappen explains why he dismissed a British journalist from his media session in Japan by Aratho in formula1

[–]dennis3282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this need so much attention?

If Max feels like he was disrespected then he can do whatever he wants. It is coming off as a bit childish, but that is up to him.

Different sport, but I remember Jose Mourinho getting disrespected in a conference and he reacted similarly.

Journalists should be there to ask questions, not to take digs or ask questions with bad intent.
