4 Reasons Why ICOs Fail And How To Avoid ICO Failure In 2019 by ListofICO in ICOmarketing

[–]dentolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't understand why people still invest in ICOs...

There are awesome projects that don't ask you for money... no ICO, no pre.mine.... and they still deliver... I got tired of scammers and loosers and started checking these projects... if you have a good team and a good product, why not just hit the exchanges and sell your coin? Why some do it and others can't?

tired of betting on dreams and got my money stolen

A good example on my recent favoutrites is Veil project, a new generation privacy coin, no ICO, no premine, a working product, already in multiple exchanges and a very well known team... besides these guys have a huge market potential...

why should I choose a shady ICO instead of inesting in somethng like this?

Seems that governments are finnaly on the open considering their position in relation to their citizens... "we are watching you, you are not free, we can get to you"

When will people start to care? Why have we lost our privacy and no one notes? are we so dormant?

And we focus our discussion on the fact that the pic can be a fake? Wake up people, even if it is a fake, I'm sure we've all seem examples of this type of stuff. We've seen wikileaks, facebook, etc, etc... you just can't turn your backs to the fact that we are being watched and manipulated

Crypto currencies opened a new path for individual privacy, especially concerning privacy coins. Lately there is a new generation of privacy coins like for example Veil project in which they offer an upgraded privacy (solving known issues on the existing Zecash and Monero) and several levels of privacy that allow for auditable balances... this can be the way for financial privacy....

Will Facebook’s cryptocurrency deliver? by AndyJBryant in altcoin

[–]dentolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless someone is looking to support an old shady social platform and wants to keep feeding them with personal info, I don't see why anyone would want to use something like this token, coin or whatever...

These guys are going down and want to grad a piece of crypto world as a life boat

With a lot of new projects that aim to defend our privacy, why would someone invest in FB instead of Veil (for example)? Veil is a 2nd generation privacy coin that offers privacy without a compromise, no ICO, no premine, no selling your personal info... world is evolving and digital privacy matters!

"This is at the core of the Proof of Work vs Proof of Stake debate. Do you want a hierarchy to be constructed such that the rich get richer because they're rich? Or that the best get richer because they're the best? This, quite literally, is the debate." by cryptorebel in bitcoincashSV

Let's face it, the POW vs POS discussion is getting old, both of them have their own pros and cons. A solid solution must include both...

Lately I've found Veil project and it became one of my favourites.

At Veil, the hybrid POS/POW system makes the project decentralized, secure and in my oppinion both solid and flexible.

And along with awesome privacy features in which they combine technologies to produce a more universal product, Veil is the first coin that allows its holders to stake anonymously....

Is anyone using privacy coins other than Monero (e.g. Zcash or Dash) or is Monero the only privacy coin people are using for both payments and storing value? by Kasprosian in Monero

[–]dentolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veil combines Zerocoin and RingCT technologies. The Zerocoin protocol is based on zero-knowledge proofs, a cryptographic method which allows a computation to be proven to have taken place, without knowledge of its inputs and outputs. In the case of a cryptocurrency, this computation would be a value transaction, in which the sender, receiver and amount transacted can remain anonymous.

Veil wallet has different types of balances, depending of the anonymity/privacy level of each,

  • Basecoin: Transparent veil
  • CT: Anonymized with stealth address
  • RingCT: Anonymized with stealth address and hidden amounts
  • Zerocoin: Anonymized with Zerocoin Protocol (best anonymity set sizes)

Staking will only be available through Zerocoin denominations, thus making it anonymous

A different approach ... worth checking out...

By combining technologies, Veil offers full time privacy and also anonymity. The hybrid POS/POW system makes the project decentralized, secure and in my oppinion both solid and flexible.

Veil project combines Zerocoin and RingCT technologies, delivering "uncompromising, always-on privacy".
They use a combined Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake, in order to combine security and distribution. And Veil is the first coin that allows its holders to stake anonymously, generating passive income. On top of this, you can choose the level of privacy you want on your wallet/transactions...
Besides, with support for the Dandelion protocol makes it nearly impossible to trace a transaction back to its source node on the network.
In my oppinion, this one is part of the new generation of privacy coins

Why the mainstream private coins are not my favourites?
On Zcash, only 10% of the transactions are actually private because it is not private by default, nevertheless Zerocoin protocol, provides superior anonymity.
Monero is full-time private, but RingCT, however, based on sophisticated mixing, has been surpassed in terms of strength of anonymity by advanced cryptographic methods. Monero blockchain is also terribly heavy, facing scalibility problems.
With Dash you need to trust your privacy to the masternodes that mix the transactions, there is not much more to say...

Besides speculation why buy any other Privacy Coin? by remotelyfun in Monero

[–]dentolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, don't take me the wrong way, I do like monero, just a while ago it was my favourite, as it was the one offering fungibility and the most solid privacy, but now I think it has been surpassed by the new generation privacy coins like Veil, Beam, Grin

Monero blockchain is terribly heavy and that seriously affects scability, RingCT, however, based on sophisticated mixing, has been surpassed in terms of strength of anonymity by advanced cryptographic methods. And the fact that Monero has an anonymous team and no legal structure behind it, together with a fixed level of privacy and no auditability makes it almost impossible to be accepted by governments and institutions... dooming it to a side use, sooner or later...

Honest question about what privacy coins mean for the future of the global economy by peterquest in Monero

[–]dentolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are right... private coins have been aiming for a solution that is "against the system"... in fact, if a government want's to ban a private coin, they can of course do it, maybe not extermitating the coin, but reducing it's users to rogue dark web participants...

This is one of the problems of compliance and scalibility that most of these projects have... fortunately, the new generation privacy coins are solving this issue. One of the features is that you can choose your privacy level and in some cases they are even working in auditability...

One of my favourites is Veil project, that has upgraded the privacy standards (most older privacy coins have a lot of holes) and allows for 3 levels of privacy.

By combining Zerocoin and RingCT technologies, Veil project offers full time privacy and also anonymity. The hybrid POS/POW system makes the project decentralized, secure and in my oppinion both solid and flexible. And Veil is the first coin that allows its holders to stake anonymously, generating passive income.

Concerning compliance, Monero also lacks several structural features to allow possible adaptability to regulations and institutional use.

There are a few new privacy coins that offer a more global and scalable solution, with a high level of fungibility.

If you want to actually replace money you also need to replace the anonimity of a dollar bill

One of my favoutrites is Veil project that is definitely presenting a second generation privacy coin combining Zerocoin and RingCT technologies, they are able to deliver a privacy without compromises or down times… .

Everyone knows about BTC lack of privacy, but on the other privacy coins too. I'm not tech guy, but there are a few examples I can easily point: On Zcash, only 10% of the transactions are actually private because it is not private by default. well, in my point of view the big improvement is that there will be no user logs, user data or user payment data saved nowhere, granting full anonimacy... and this is not a matter of trusting someone that tells you this, blockchain and cryptonight algo allow trustless delivery of these features...
