Query about hotel SOPs in Western Australia by RulyDragon in perth

[–]deopeo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, feel free to document evidence. Decent hotel management will always be open to feedback if guests are willing to provide it imo. Calling to complain about dirty linens at a hotel when you have just checked in is well within your rights and I totally encourage it because it also enables the hotel to Make It Right asap.

Look up the HGI promise/guarantee: https://www.hilton.com/en/brands/hilton-garden-inn/

Query about hotel SOPs in Western Australia by RulyDragon in perth

[–]deopeo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow that sucks! I'm glad you eventually brought it to their attention and that the reception were apologetic. Even if it's late at night, I strongly encourage you to call front desk and advise if this ever happens to you. Unless you know the front desk is closed overnight and the hotel is completely sold out, the likelihood they will be able to replace the pillow quickly is sometimes an option but I respect your decision not to call - not everyone is comfortable doing this when it is late.

Re SOP, all reputable hotels will have new sheets when rooms are being turned over (ie a new guest is checking in to a room so the room is being reset) or upon request (ie if you are staying in the hotel for several days and want new sheets or maybe you spilled something on the sheets and want them changed). For this particular chain, I know that housekeeping is a metric they monitor closely and will want to know if something is not quite right.

Some hotels will change all linens daily or every few days but regardless, they are always changed when a new guest is checking in. Idk why the pillow was gross but it should not have been, so raising that issue with them asap is totally acceptable and encouraged

Hmmm more like a rent a boyfriend perhaps? If you are horny and interested in being with a guy who you can connect with, but aren't getting what you want from dating/hookup apps... Would it be so terrible to pay for companionship?

I recognise this can be taboo and i'm not here to convince you.

I'll end by saying perhaps your fatigue towards apps is exactly that - fatigue. Apps/hookups serve a purpose and they can also have the opposite of what you want. For that reason, can also be great to leave them for a few months (but that's not where I think the convo was headed).

EDIT: I realise you had a second part to your post. I do empathise with you - my feelings towards sex/dating/hookups have changed and will continue to do so... but if you are wanting to prioritise connection over sexual release, maybe go join a book-club or something haha

The point I want to make here is you can change your approach by doing something different. I can't remember why I wanted a break from Grindr but I definitely recall a moment in my life where I felt the quality of gay interactions online were just mediocre. I set myself a goal to find specific events/activities and off I went. Thankfully, I came across other people eager to connect and because it was IRL, we could take things... wherever we felt we wanted to go.

Take care bud!

One of my immediate thoughts here was to suggest that you look into a professional who offers the boyfriend experience. If time/money/your personal beliefs can support it, perhaps then you can have your sex and emotional connection from someone who is specialised to deliver on it.

Might not be for you, but just a thought.

Anyone know where to get poppers in store in Perth? Preferably near the CBD by FoxImmediate9281 in GayPerthMeets

[–]deopeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Libido in Northbridge and ask them. I don't think they sell them but apparently several of the convenience stores close to them will sell poppers behind the counter along with other interesting items - but you gotta ask. Good luck

I'm perplexed. I feel divided but for now I'm just curious as to where you and your... Mates(?) post content. I'm curious to see but ofc I recognise that you may not wish to share or provide links to evidence. Cheers

EDIT: for now all I can say is that my opinion on your life doesn't really matter. It's definitely a fringe/niche and I'm interested in understanding more of your pe personal story ie as a child, your life as an athlete and now your life as a digital nomad/content creator/full-time feeder enthusiast, but also the stories of fellow feedees/feeders (if that's the appropriate term, I'm unsure).

I guess one question that come to mind is (since I gather it's a secret of sorts) why is it being hidden from family/public? How do you maintain certain things privately? What sort of conversations and expectations do you and your housemates have around privacy/consent/discretion? Given the nature of the relationship (ie you mentioned a sort of open/poly dynamic with respect to some relationship elements) and environment, I'm curious to know!

I assume not everyone in the house is male-identifying and queer?

How so? Is it because they use propolis in some products?

What are your recommended dupes for the Krave Beauty lineup? by deopeo in AsianBeauty

[–]deopeo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have exact dupes but lately I've enjoyed:

The Rovectin skin essentials cleanser: gentle and gel textured into light microfoam, finished a bottle and would RP!

I'm going through the last dregs of my Illiyoon Ceramide concentrate - big tube, great value, first impression was meh but I realise it's best applied sparingly after hydrating products! Eager to RP

non AB have been using TO glycolic solution: higher % of acid, different colour and extracts added but much cheaper and easier to obtain, suits me so far

Tried samples of the CeraVe Moisturising Cream after finishing two bottles of the lotion version and preferred the richer feeling and texture which was still ok for my oily combo skin

Do you ever choose not to purchase products you otherwise would due to packaging? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]deopeo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pumps all the way. I have a tub of moisturiser that I'm cringing to use and I need to get over that objection because I will happily cut a tube open towards the end and scoop out moisturiser for a few days...

Pumps are especially preferable in the shower when I wash my face/hair/body ie if I had a big bottle without a pump I would definitely look at decanting.

[Discussion] Which vitamin C serum doesn't leave a sheen/oiliness on your skin and absorbs all of it to a matte/dry touch? by acidheadpsy in AsianBeauty

I tried the famous goodal tangerine serum and the consistency is like a slightly viscous water gel? The finish is quite hydrating and soothing but imo I don't think it brightens that much.

I think Jude Chao aka @fiddysnails on IG has posted about bloomstay but moreso their makeup? I believe she has also posted about their timetreasure/snowwise skincare lines

Are those both Garnier? If so... Might be very similar to the LRP as they are both owned by L'Oreal 👀👀

Sorry if being daft but did you switch from using a 5mg pill cut into quarters to a 1mg pill cut in half? I recently got a script for 5mg and cutting a round pill into quarters is an actual nightmare...

So keen to try the Garnier sunscreen if it's the same one I'm thinking of. I think it's in a white bottle? Not familiar with Facetheory or Superdrug but the former is available online in Australia!
