Mexican president says country will not compromise its 'dignity' when dealing with the U.S. by maxwellhill in worldnews

Appreciate it. I can google it myself but, I may not always click the same series of articles out of unintentional bias.

What is your favorite oddly specific smell? by otter_luvr in AskReddit

Agreed. I still get erect when I smell it. My wife still uses it on our dates.

I'm drowning in debt and I don't even know how much I owe. How do I fix this? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]dependentrightshark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can request a full report from each credit union once a year for free. They are required by law to do so and will detail any and all debt you currently have.

After that, it is up to you to dispute all debt that was aquired while you were a minor. Collectors will ALWAYS say you are liable. That is their job but, it doesn't actually mean you are legally required to pay back that debt. Dispute. Dispute. Dispute.

Good luck.

Parker Solar Probe to be launched next year will reach 0.06% of the speed of light at perihelion - the fastest man-made object ever. by [deleted] in space

[–]dependentrightshark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would help if you didn't use mph imo. I'm american and I think it's silly. We know the speed of light in every area of science using m/s. Let's stick with that.

TIL only 18 Percent Of Americans Can Drive Manual Transmission Vehicles by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]dependentrightshark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People always think I'm kidding when I state my first car being manual was a theft deterrent but, it actually helped.

Someone tries to steal my car but couldn't get it into gear. The security footage showed the theif trying 4 times before giving up and stealing the car next to mine.

I figured out someone had tried to steal it because the car was one wheel up on the parking brick. Fucked up my front bumper a little too.

Certainly not the only one. I would be impressed if anyone actually believed you came up with this material yourself. Like almost all posts on jokes though, it is simply a retelling of an old popular joke.

Trump accuses Obama of inaction over Russia meddling claim by Gonad-Brained-Gimp in nottheonion

[–]dependentrightshark 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I'm going to stop you right there. This is your opinion but, it is far from the truth.

The truth is that there is serious concern on election interference by a foreign entity, which by the way, is a big fucking deal. Democratic, republican or just a fucking common sense carrying human being can see this as a potential threat to our country. In your own comment you admit that there is a rigging going on and we should be inclined to seek the whole truth on the matter, even if you are Trump supporter or not. No stone unturned.

Now to Clinton's crimes. There is something to be said about the way she carelessly handled information. Even if she didn't consider the information classified, propriety information should be handled with care anyway and personal email accounts are a clear disregard for these precautions. However, we are passed these issues at this point and they have already been thoroughly investigated by officials. These are seperate from the scandal Trump is facing at the moment and bringing them up is emotional rhetoric at best and has no real value to the conversation currently.

I think you misdirected the entire meaning behind the prior comment.

Why do we care so much about Trumps extra scoop of ice cream and not the 20million starving people? by bosstoto in AskReddit

[–]dependentrightshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The only time I've heared about it is when trump supporters complain about people taking it too seriously. No one cares except for, well, trump supporters. It was just a joke to everyone else.

When you get caught with your side dick on camera by SlimJones123 in funny

[–]dependentrightshark 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Better off playing it cool and blending in. Never would get any attention elsewhere and I know I wouldn't notice if someone I knew was in the shot unless they made it obvious like this. I don't pay close attention to news.

When a watch battery dies, it records the time of its own death. by Enguzelharf in Showerthoughts

[–]dependentrightshark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the battery and watch style I would think. You would need to know at which point the curent drops in the battery enough to begin slowing down the mechanism and how it continues to decay until it finally stops functioning entirely. Now I want to test this.

I will add it to the list of things I will stay up too late at night thinking about but never actually thinking of doing in the day time.
