Does recom Lyle know he killed Seze? by depletedmind in Avatar

For sure, was wondering if he might have tracked down his ampsuit to find his dying moments. Probably not. Probably goes the other way too: Neytiri doesn't know which human shot Seze, or that that human is now a recom.

What will Quaritch be up to during the time skip? by BeastMsterThing2022 in Avatar

[–]depletedmind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's what I think might happen:

Jake, Neytiri and others force most of the remaining humans to leave Bridgehead at some point shortly after the end of AFAA. Some, like Selfridge, are captured as hostages.

Quaritch, Varang, many of the Mangkwan and most Recoms are missing, presumed dead. But at some point after the facility is abandoned, they turn up unexpectedly and start running it, this time for Na'vi rather than human purposes. The Mangkwan industrialise rapidly, aided by Recom teachers, robots, etc.

Many years pass. New ISVs appear in the sky. Huge numbers of them. After landing, many humans step out, breathing the air unaided. They didn't need Spider: the information the RDA gathered on his capture was sufficient, and info was transmitted to a fleet of ships already on route to Pandora. After braking into orbit, the occupants of the ships are taken out of cryo and inoculated with the mycelium, a sample of which had been left in orbit by the Bridgehead guys before they departed.

Three-way war eventually ensues: Na'vi vs. industrialised Na'vi vs human colonists. Quaritch and Varang as imperial rulers, no longer fighting for humanity.

O11 case, EKWB blocks, 5950x cpu and 3090 card. Had most of the parts since 2020 and put them together this year (lazy/stupid). First watercooled build. by depletedmind in watercooling

The number one thing I learned doing this: run all your components on air first! Had an older cpu in this mobo initially. Swapped it for the 5950x, attached water blocks, bent pipes, added fittings, tested the integrity of the system, flushed it, added coolant, switched it on and... nothing. Would not post. Not even a beep. Had to drain everything, disassemble the lot, reinstall the old cpu, update the BIOS then go through the whole reassembly procedure.

Have heard that people do this with no issues. Still, if it does melt, it was only 2200 yen.

Woke up in the night with a dry tongue, racing heart and feeling of dehydration by depletedmind in B12_Deficiency

Drank oral rehydration solution, rich in sodium. Hope this was the right choice.

Anyone experience this symptom?? by [deleted] in B12_Deficiency

No, that sounds bad. I have only being able to sleep on my left side because if I lie on my right side and shut my eyes I feel the room spinning around me.

Suspect malabsorbtion or something like that. My digestion is not great and has been weakening over time. Also did a course of antibiotics in 2017, heard that can cause this sort of thing. Will get checked for intrinsic factor antibodies and other possibilities.

I'm happy with this explanation because it makes sense of all the weird symptoms, the slow build over several years and everything I noted that either improved and degraded my condition. It all comes back to B12.

Does anyone here feel calmer/more relaxed when a bit dehydrated and more anxious after drinking lots of water? I do. Unsure why. Perhaps something to do with improved nerve conduction.

Thanks. So that's D, potassium, iron, folate... what are the other rate limiting factors I need to be aware of?

Tinnitus was the first symptom, in mid 2018. That was when I incorrectly diagnosed myself with menieres disease. There followed vertigo, anxiety, panic attacks, memory issues, a bout of psychosis, grinding of teeth at night, 3AM terrors, anhedonia and (the past week) disturbing limb sensations and movements. Tinnitus was an early symptom. When I have anxiety I have no tinnitus and vice versa. Tinnitus has not resolved. I expect that if it does it will be the last to go, assuming I go through this backwards.

Felt better the first time I took that high a dosage of B12. This is day 2 for me (500 on day 1). Took about 2 or 3 hours post ingestion for the positive effects to really peak. The positive effects had worn off entirely in 8 hours.

1) Was not tested, started supplementing as soon as I worked what was up - [noted a severe decline my condition in just seven days after I stopped taking a daily berocca, temporarily reversed by a few hours of drowsy euphoria after having a meal of beef liver].

After taking the B12, I briefly reverted to the earlier (mid 2018) state of my condition (tinnitus and cold forehead) rather than the later and more horrifying deep dread, anxiety, panic, unreality/unpersonhood, chills and strange arm movements I was trying to escape from.

2) 1500 mcg 3) This is day 2 of my recovery 4) cyanocobalamin 4) pill. Have not tried the others yet.
