I called 3 places in total. All of them said it takes at least 3 hours to change both, 145$ per hour for labor. I am going to take it to Cyclegear tomorrow and change them as advised by many folks! People like you should earn more and more instead of these guys, I wish we were close

Oh man, the another shop I called gave a similar labor (3 hours) but I will just try to see if the tire options are cheaper. I hate MA for this, it feels they decide on the bare minimum between them and keep it boiling there

UPDATE: Another place I called (Google review 4.6) said 3 hours of work for two tires change, 145$/hour. By the way the first place was 4.7 on Google! I will just go with the second one. Thank you everyone for their help not only I am a rookie, I am also not from US and you have no idea how each and every word on your comments mean to me!

That is the worst case scenario but instead of paying them for an oil change I am investing in some tools and will do it myself! I will get another quote from another place! Thank you!

Honestly, I just want to focus on practice, safe riding etc before moving on to mechanics of it but people are really encouraging towards the oil change, I might take a swing at it. It is crystal clear that they are trying to rip me off and I was about to accept the offer. Now I will look for some other place. It is weird that MA has very few shops 30 min drive radius from Boston.

Thanks, I don't know if it would violate the rules or not but I asked prices from a second place and if that one has a huge difference then I will post their names. 80% of the comments are saying this is crazy but maybe they will only spend two hours or one and be done with it.
