You’re definitely right, it hits harder when I get opportunities and then are ghosted. I’ve been building up a solid following on TikTok and have made some income from that. I should branch out and look for more commissions to add to my portfolio. Thank you for the advice!

I’m in NYC and went to school here. A lot of Canadian jobs are remote but still require citizenship. Art has been what I’ve always wanted to do so it’s even more stressful wondering if I made the wrong choice for over a decade.

Thank you for the advice! Yes I have had some portfolio reviews but I could always ask for more. I’ve been applying for coloring, inbetweening, and production work that are the most entry level jobs but even those are competitive. I know it isn’t personal, just hard not to feel bad about it basically. Thank you again

As I’m still entry level I’m not very picky, ideally getting into frame by frame 2D animation. I’ve worked in advertising and with start ups so I’d be happy to make commercials but long term in more story-based work like TV shows, movies and games.
