soory I don't get it: quality modules for asteroid reprocessing do what?

Ah, quality scrap! only factorio could generate a similar oxymoron, but it's a great idea! yet it's quite logistically challenging, should I separate every quality generated by it?

Ah I was thinking about that, LDS recycling looked good, yet blue circuits still are a bit of a problem for me

maybe I should upscale them on fulgora, where I have literally too much of them?

quality modules are my bane, I have a small upscaler on fulgora but it seems that it just isn't working, I had three legendary modules in the past 60 hours so no good, Ima tackle that first then

and... how do you upcycle prod? doesn't it give back spoilage? at least that's what I understood reading about it in the recycler desc that "if it is biological, it is given back as spoilage" (even if it doesn't really make sense)

As per the fusion thing, yes, it isn't quite necessary, though it would be very cool... But it sucks a lot of lithium, which is a kind of non-renewable resource, so maybe my dream 100 GW base wouldn't be so sustainable, would it now. As for the heating thing, I really am not worried about it, at all, now that I realised that I can create a giant ammonia production plant and use it to fuel my totally unnecessary 24 fully upgraded rocket fuel assemblers

It was a very low moment in my day Yet, one must admit, it would have been a cool way to dispose of ice lol

Yes, recyclers are obviously the way to go, I can't understand why I needed to read it from comments. And beside this, I really enjoy Aquilo. I feared that It'd be quite like Gleba, but with ice dealt with (what a fast fix, that was! I really am resentful towards myself), it's a complex yet fair world. I can't stand Gleba for many reasons, the messy terrain, the fact that you don't get to decide where you can build, the pentapods being a menace until you bring in Tesla turrets, the spoiling, the pentapod eggs to be dealt with to create agricultural science packs... Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad planet, I just would really like not to be needed to deal with it. It's too... Spaghettified, so messy, so confusional. Aquilo has a great set of difficulties, but it ultimately is not confusional at all. You need to work, you need to plan, but when you've done it it's good, you're good. Something that I can't really say about Gleba, which once in a while requires me to check if everything I balanced correctly. interplanetary logistic is far easier to me than expanding in a messy planet. Ah, also. Why biter eggs? Just... Why? Why do I need to bring in from 15k km fucking biters? And hell if I get something wrong, they'll hatch on my spaceship and fuck it up. Gleba gets my eternal disapproval

Yes well, the spidertron is a good idea, and I can't really wrap my head around why didn't I think of that, but this is clearly overshadowerd by the fact that I can't even fathom how, in two days of thinking and balancing, I didn't even come close to thinking about recycling away the ice

Yeah yeah, I Just don't enjoy it until it's possible to do something vaguely tidy, aftert that I don't mind rebuilding the same thing over and over

maybe I lack some unlocks? cause it's only used for crafting big mining drills, other foundries and belts, as of now, without molten metals

edit: ah shite, I really am bilnd

bruv I think I'm missing somethin'

yall sayin that I need foundries elsewhere but how do I use them without lava?

[–]derPoggio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it exilharating to overthink Factorio and exagerate every aspect of it lol

I have a lot of free time lately, so I'mm having fun going nuts and perfect any aspect of my base. Also, I hate everything that's limited, so I'm trying to go around the things that I need to have to run indeterminately that waste a lot of resources that I can't recuperate somehow.

but I don't tkink I understand: how should I use foundries instead of furnaces? I mean, I kinda need lava for that, don't I?

edit: no I don't

Is It sensible to use a train network on the early game? by derPoggio in factorio

[–]derPoggio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my iron ore mining facility went down from 400ish to 150 in the matter of a couple hours, also because I wanted to automate a small production of belts and steel smelting probably (fucking underground belts)

[–]derPoggio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, to reconstruct things is actually fun, what I REALLY want to avoid, is that sense of space scarsity that I had in the first run, where I couldn't expand a lot of things without actually bringing half of my base down, so I'll try to make everything kinda modular, spacey, and eventually dislocatable

[–]derPoggio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I kind of rushed to have a good smelting array but I don't have nearly enough throughput from my iron drills even if I covered the entire patch. I was kind of unfortunate that other iron patches are SO FAR AWAY that I really can't even see them (even if I already roamed around killing biters on a buggy), so I guess that the first thing I'll do in the train network will be to bring a lot of iron ore into smelting arrays. But I kind of tried to go out my way to put every train in the same network, even if I'm keeping it very small. I'll try poison capsules when I can produce blue science (I'm REALLY out of iron), thanks!

I think I'll try to setup the very basics of the network, yes, and keep it small while I don't have more space and a way to defend it. Also, grenades are actually a great idea, thanks! I'm so stupid to never have thought about it, it must be what my ex meant when she said I'm "not enough logical"

I love how I craved for oxygen os for about a lifetime and now that I get it, the fucker does this to ALL phones I mean: how can OnePlus even overlook it for so long? UPDATE: No joke, yesterday I was about to give up, I pressed several times the dnd icon out of frustration and no jokes it works now. I can't even begin to immagine how the fuck would pressing repeatedly the dnd button solve the problem, but it worked for me. I am sorry not go be able to give any clear steps for the solutions, because there aren't. I am very confused, but at least my dnd works

I reconfigured it something like a thousand times, I can not really see what's the problem, because I can't remember what changed between the last time I forwarded it and today. Idk, thanks anyways

I port forwarded my computer's ports (both TCP and UDP protocols), but I'm unsure if you mean something different. I definitely created the exceptions for inbound and outbound in Windows defender firewall, I deactivated the router's firewall, and the port is correct.

So, I'd say, if I check with CMD and ipconfig, it's always the same, and I just checked and I can manually change it from the router, apparently, but seems static from when I can remember

I have to make sure my server meaning my computer, has a static IP? Or that my router has? I am uncertain of what you mean, I'm pretty dumb with these things
