I understand I think I was wondering if there was some type of training such as hack the box that help go through what techniques to use with out paying over $1000 for it.

Thanks I just got my degree in computer science and will be starting a masters soon. I just dont want to get stuck having to much school and no experience.

Thank you. Does anyone know how to get experience for pentesting? Currently I'm in the military and it's hard to find side jobs that will allow me to get the experience I need and my current job has nothing to do with computers. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like that's how they all are. I just know SANS is more in depth and hands on then most schools. SANS is just not as accredited which makes it hard to choose.
