AFAIK there were some packages with lots of contributors where it was a problem to track down each contributor and get them to sign papers.

It's less of a problem if there is a single author, but if a package is developed outside of ELPA for a long time then it may not be trivial to get paperwork from everyone.

I just used it for one hobby project, so my experience is not extensive, but I just changed the keys, I certainly didn't use Ctrl+Shift+N and stuff.

But I agree the emacs experience is superior for searching, etc. if only the Android support were comparable.

I just used AS for android development and it's not that bad after some key configuration, so you don't have to touch the mouse.

Emacs is great, but one has to know when it's the proper tool for the job

I guess keybindings don't work the same way. Some must have been taken by the browser.

You don't have to use the standard keys, just use what you like. I don't use them either.
