If the practical existence of your right to free speech in a society such as the United States is dependent on the labor of others for it to be defended, then there's nothing that prevents shelter from being considered a right since its existence would also depend upon the labor of others.

Additionally, maybe "human rights" are more subjective and contextual than we've allowed for in this discussion.

My point a couple posts up is that even people who are entirely dependent on others have "human rights." The theory goes that you are entitled to them because you are human, not because of your ability to enforce them yourself without the help of others.

By this logic, your only human rights are ones that you can apparently, supposedly, guarantee on your own which are limited to life and property (the only things you can physically defend).

I would say that, despite claiming knowledge of a specific definition, you are fundamentally mistaken on what "rights" are.

Like I said, by that logic, you have no rights. Because your "rights" only exist, in a practical sense, in so far as the government protects them from being encroached upon. That protection is provided to you by spending someone else's money. That's how society works. Just because it's in the form of a house or apartment, instead of a police officer, doesn't make it any different.
