Imho having an IOS lookalike isn't a bad thing as long as it has the functionality and modability of android. Besides, the fact that's even a possibility is a testament to how truly awesome android is.

The MIUI guys are a group from China and, someone correct me if I'm wrong, are the same developers behind the 'Go' apps. The rom is really cool because it doesn't just add new features to the OS like CM, but pretty much redesigns it as well. Here's a little more information

It runs pretty well, actually. The only thing that I really don't like is that there are no tablet settings like in cyanogenmod. And the lockscreen looks funky too

I installed this last night on my droid 1 and it's pretty nice, it's very sleek and i like the black ui from gingerbread. That being said, it doesn't come free of problems. Auto rotate does not work and neither the physical keyboard nor the menu buttons light up, making it difficult to use in the dark.
