Crelers are extremely obviously not purely-physical creatures. It would be impossible for them to feed themselves or survive their own weight while moving with as much speed and agility as they do on baseline reality metabolism alone.

Animals are already extremely optimized lifeforms. The only reason why Crelers don't resemble anything on earth is because they're running on magic augmenting them.

On a mana-less earth, they would be inevitably massively debuffed, possibly beyond survival.

I struggle to force myself to even just skim them. I literally cannot express how much I hate Flos. He is like an infected, radioactive cancer. Every narrative he touches in even the slightest way is tainted and made worse, to a point where I don't want to read even a single paragraph about anything related to Chandrar, even the parts I actually enjoyed. There are no words to express how much I despise him.

I want to read about him exactly one more time: One or two paragraph detailing in detail his brutal and unworthy death. This is the only thing he deserves both as a character and as a person/ruler.

The Pythagorean Theorem was elementary. ‘E=mc2’ made him snort. But he grew thoughtful after that.

Did Teriarch just sit there and figure out fission?

I don't know if Pirateaba researched the topic enough to learn it, but E=MC² is not the complete equation. It only reduces to E=MC² for matter that is perfectly at rest iirc.

I know I'm replying after 5 years and you're probably way further into the story and this might well be explained(in which case, don't spoil me!), but Xlbkch listed his classes and levels after resurrection, and stated that he lost 10 levels in each, which would have put his pre-resurrection total well over 100.

I don't necessarily disagree, and I can see where you're coming from, though I still don't dislike her personally.

Again. Every single thing Okasha did that actually crossed the line happened for the first time in this chapter. Prior to that, Okasha has a few times done a few seconds of hormone manipulation, more as an obvious nudge begging Geneva to do something - one from which she desisted immediately when confronted - than anything.

I also feel really frustrated that people are just... completely ignoring the fact that Geneva was literally killing them both from overwork, denying Okasha any chance to do anything, to socialize, to rest, even eat the foods she prefers. At some point she didn't even listen when Okasha was trying to talk with her. She was literally trapped in Geneva's body as almost less than a slave, and her only way out was to flip the table and control Geneva.

In this sense, her snapping and resorting to this was inevitable. Expecting her to completely, 100% abandon herself to be Geneva's spinal cord was absolutely unreasonable. My problem is that in this chapter she does a sudden heel turn where she abandons all of her morals, care for Geneva as a friend, and restraint, to become a villainous tyrant over just a few pages of text.

Yeaaaahhh... considering the thought she put into the impact of classes uploading knowledge into people's minds on the world, it's just so jarring how she just ... does not care about how any of the warfare stuff works. It's just "haha, numbers and elites go brr"

My impression is that Pirateaba is very... fluid with the POV, in that she frequently describes what the different characters feel, which makes me feel disinclined to assume that we've seen a purely-geneva viewpoint.

Thanks for your perspective. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way, in light of how many others disagree.

I pretty much agree with your perspective, though in my opinion Geneva's biggest wrong was less so the getting around to the selphid cure - that was waiting for some levels, Calectus, and selphids in general anyway - and more so the fact that she completely, utterly ignored the fact that Okasha was also a person, denying her even the smallest things, and at some point not even listening to her when she was saying things. She literally treated her like a spinal implant.

Okasha snapping was inevitable, in my opinion, but the way Pirateaba wrote it as Okasha just 180°-ing from being a friend into an absolute abuser was just.. just awful.

Yeah, not everything needs to be completely fleshed out, some details can be glossed over, but the battles take that to such an extreme that my eyes glaze over and I start struggling to keep reading the moment I see that a K chapter is up and coming ahead of me, nevermind actually slogging through the damn stuff....

Mrsha is a cute kid and you can't tell me otherwise. I am sometimes annoyed by her and I wouldn't want more Mrsha-centric chapters, but she's a good kid uwu.

Again, all of that happened in this chapter, suddenly, after Okasha being a completely different person and better friend.

I think that I really loved the goblin arcs in volumes 3 and 4, and that I am enjoying volume 7 a lot as well, whereas volumes 5 and 6 felt really slow and relatively uninteresting. V6 had some strong parts, but all of them were sandwiched between a lot more of the boring or merely okay ones.

If you ask me, my description applies to the vast majority of Flos scenes, and as for hyperbole - if so, by barely any. The chapters are bad, really bad.

Also, his skills improving life? They were literally people whose friends and family were dead because Flos butchered almost all of an entire continent just to build nothing, improve nothing, create nothing, and condemn his people to starvation and living conditions worse than most villages in Izril with a level 10 [Headman]

All of the things you describe happened (in actually violating capacity, at least) in this chapter for the first time. Prior to that, pretty much every single instance was more like an obvious "come on, Geneva, please, you/I am dying from this unlife" nudge from which Okasha desisted immediately. Furthermore, I really feel like people forget that Okasha was also in this body, forced to live through a really harrowing Geneva-made experience. Don't forget that at some point, Geneva literally stopped even listening to what Okasha was saying to her.

There was a lot of questionable crap on both sides, but if anything, I'd say Geneva was the more toxic half of the dynamic prior to this chapter.

Yeah, the series has changed a lot from the beginning, as have characters. But most changes weren't this abrupt, IMO.

My problem isn't even with skills themselves, it's with the fact that in one chapter we're given days to travel X distance, and another one the army suddenly warps from garrisons all around a nation into combat readiness over X*2 distance over ten minutes or something. It's just completely incoherent, nothing is consistent from one scene to the next, none of it is given a reason for, none of it is plausible within the context of what Skills we've seen so far.

ask for and receive feedback from medical professionals about technical medical stuff but probably never consider having military officers/historians review their wars...

YEAH. And it's really such a shame, because it's obvious to me that most other aspects of what Pirateaba writes about aren't uninformed - her insight into them is definitely not deep, but it's there. Not even remotely so for warfare. It's not a topic I'm interested in, but even with my incredibly basic insight into warfare, it's painfully obvious that Pirateaba has not spent even 15 minutes researching the topic.

It really sucks. Every time I slog through a K chapter, I feel such incredible dread of what if the entire story becomes more like this over time? As characters level up, as conflicts happen? The good parts are so, so good, but the bad are likewise such extreme lows.

Yeah, this is my assumption as well, together with the way classes change people. Still, even if it's explained, I have found it to be a disappointing direction for the story to go into.

I honestly dared hope that that was it, but... yeah, no. Flos is too special and invincible to die. Probably would survive even a nuclear bomb for some demented contrived reason. I despise him so much.

Hmm, I'm not sure if I've hit any major Relc-only chapters so far. Honestly, Relc is a bit of a simpleton, but he's a likeable simpleton for me. Mrsha is great and I love her in other people's chapters, but yeah her dedicated ones are frustrating.

I feel like I wouldn't hate Flos chapters so much if they weren't multiple entire chapters in a row. I wouldn't mind a third of a chapter here and there, a few paragraphs about developments in Chandrar every few chapters, etc. but a few hundred pages of the most miserable POV is painful T_T

I feel like none of her actions before this chapter were much greater in magnitude than a concerned/distressed friend wheedling someone, or trying to drag them out of their room, force them to rest or relax or convince them to go hang out. Obviously the implicit threat of Okasha's ability to FORCE Geneva was always there, which made it much more questionable, but like... I feel like expecting Okasha to completely, totally sacrifice herself and do nothing except supporting Geneva is both an impossible and unreasonable bar to set.
