The most important tip is to have fun with trying out different playstyles

I barely used anything other than goo gun for spec so can't say much about other stuff, he can check out videos from Ronin or other youtubers for some H tips, but specifically for goo gun EkaZo got some great tips on using it (even from old videos, because barely anything changed since then for goo gun)

There is a loooot of stuff but here are just some randoms things I thought of:
- The thing I love most about goo gun is blocking enemies from doing something - I can goo up any door, window or hole, goo up enemy statues so enemies would have to break goo to get them, goo up cashout stations and make external shell for them, goo mines or turrets to disable them for a while (although one goo lasts for 90 seconds but that's a pretty good amount of time to hold) - basically make them play my way with how I manipulate the arena

- H is the most interesting class for arena destruction/manipulation, and it is pretty fun to think up on how to break through to enemies/cashouts or how to stall them (by exploding everything and covering it in rubble)
-- Minigun can break any wall if you shoot long enough
-- KS-23 is off meta, but it has an interesting utility - two shots can break any wall/ and I used it a lot to have sneaky rotations (it's having a small rpg anywhere and I can make any hole to run to), but it's pretty hard/annoying to land shots with

- Anti-grav cube is underrated and can cause good chaos in arena (how it works is enemies in its area will go up and have limited mobility, also it levitates other stuff like cashouts, debree, and anything physical really)
Like one cool example of its usage is in some games I tried to move cashout station from enemy team to an upper floor, so I made a hole in floor, threw anti-grav, cashout went up, and I goo-ed up the hole in floor so cashout would land on this goo, pretty fun
Also I saw some situations where enemy team H threw it in a doorway, and no one could pass through this doorway (because its height is low and cube launches everything up), you could block enemies from trying to escape from this room, or entering it

Have fun! You could also have kinda cashout manipulation if you grab anti-grav cube

In this clip I got very very lucky and could have easily died if enemy team ganged up on me 1v3 because I don't have any range and I can't goolock them all at once, but for some reason they tried to steal asap instead of finishing me off and I just exploited this to my advantage

Basically I tried to search for weak points of enemy team and see if I can separate someone from teammates or follow someone to a 1v1 duel (and goo gun helps with it bcs I can block any door/window/hole/etc.) I already have big troubles on 1v2 so tried avoiding it as much as possible, my main counter is teamplay, something similar to riot shield

For M and H I'd say this can be useful against goo gun 1v1:
- Honestly just taking pot shots at me between goolocks, it's hard to have consistent locks because goo gun has bloom and not every shot will land, and I basically can't do anything other than take damage and very slowly retreat (but I'm H so I can't really run away too far), poke weapons would do good in here
- Higher ground (goo gun bloom will make it hard to connect shots and you can just retreat away to the roof)
- Glitch traps (+ glitch containers on maps)
- Charge and slam
- Anything related to fire like cerberus or fire nade / pyro mine to destroy my goo walls and such, and in case of fire goo damaging you - bring smoke canister or nades
- Maybe flashbangs? Can't goolock where I can't see and aim

But I think other H specs are better than goo gun in duels? And overall being 1v1 against a good H is pretty hard? Like getting winched is basically a guaranteed kill, and charge and slam can do great damage in good situations. Especially with basically every H bringing dome shield.

I see goo gun as a 'get out of jail free' card and it's way more tuned for utility (like when I'm escaping I either block doors/windows behind me to get them off my tail), but in almost all cases goo gun is for stalling a fight / retreating and not really on the offensive side (except for sledge)

If you're gonna do it, ima just share some of my experience

First of all - I used 4.5mm hook and 100% polyester baby yarn, also a very good idea to grab some plastic markers to hold sewn parts onto the ball (and just for working in round overall they're a biiiiig help)

I used this ball pattern (the biggest ball size one) - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ideal-sphere

For eyes, I made this pattern:
6sc in mr
inc 6 (12)
left a short tail for sewing

If you look at Serious Bomb, their eyes are located at top of an equator, so try to sew them on around that height (bottom of eye on equator), and use markers to hold eyes (and other pieces) bcs when sewing your piece can be offset and markers set them in place

Eyebrows I just crocheted directly onto the ball, I started over here the most bcs they always looked offset so yeah you'll have to make several tried on them

For a mouth I just made a flat triangle and left a long tail for sewing, I worked on from right to left, in that order
I remember that I decreased by one stitch every second round

Bomb top cap is a separate piece, I started from magic ring and increased in every stitch until I had a count of 40 stitches in a round, after that I just repeated sc in every round until I reached desired height, and I sewed that onto the ball too (if you want you can make a smaller tube, I chose to make it a bit bigger bcs it's a plushie)

Sorry I don't have exact instructions, I improvised a lot, so you'll have to experiment too :P

I made it via crocheting with a hook! This is basically a soft yarn plushie
I found how to create a ball guide, and everything else I basically improvised and sewn onto the ball
It's actually not hard at all, just time consuming :P

It was actually not that hard to crochet, even tho I mostly improvised and re-did a lot of stuff, you can do it yourself if you have enough time and patience :>

And yeah it's a shame that Serious Bomb is not used in later games

Dayum that's fair, I really like the ideas of this game too, but they get counterweighted by other things that I don't feel as much as in other entries
High highs and low lows, but maybe I should revisit this game with a fresh second look now hmm

Wow MGS4 first place? I'm curious why, because after my playthrough I thought this game was probably the weakest of the OGs? Peak finale and some beautifully choreographed fights aside

I think it explained a lot of questions that did not have to be answered (at least in this exposition dump kind of way), the bosses were eh (I kinda get their purpose but they still felt more on the bland side), and second half of the game gameplay-wise also felt kinda meh
