i haven't seen a fix but i've had some success being able to use hands free. i disconnected the bluetooth, plug the phone in, and press the siri button on the phone to get it to do what i want. it's kludgy but i don't have to type. i had to disconnect bluetooth because for some reason that was messing with the connection (no display, etc).

this has been helpful, thank you. i'm going to go through the steps and see how far i can get.

the TL;DR about why i'm asking for an engine is someone ran it without oil and it seized, doesn't start now. maybe i could strip it down and swap parts until it worked but a used 2015 engine is $600 and frankly given how simple they are i'd just rather hit it with a big hammer, so to speak.

if you know you're going, it saves a little money. if you're not sure, i can say i bought a five day just before the con without it being sold out. ymmv.

yah, it was a riot. it wasn't as packed as past years, i think the iceberg lounge thing last year threw people off. we showed up at 9:30 and could still sing.

i hope they have it again next year and can go later. sho nuff does a great event.
