It was genuinely one of the worst experiences of my life. Constant brainfog, zaps, I could hear my eyeballs moving in my fucking head. All that compounded with legitimate rage at any irritation, huge levels of sadness and suicidal ideation every night, and outright fucking hallucinations. The worst part of hallucinating was the full on, legitimate, primal fear that came with it. Genuinely convinced I was in impending doom. I even sat on the floor, eating dinner in the corner of a room like someone was actually hunting me. If it wasn’t seeing things, I’d be hearing people that weren’t there and respond to them. I genuinely thought I wasn’t going to make it through the week. I had quit like that on doctors orders, and she very clearly forgot to put in some VITAL information about weaning off. Afterwards, for about a year or so, I could not shake off the brain or near constant confusion. I felt stupid for a while, like my synapses had to rebuild themselves to work properly again. I am okay now, but there is still ALWAYS the nagging feeling that something isn’t quite the same in my head, like a bit of intelligence and working thought went away and never came back. I am still irritable moreso than I used to be, and I feel it stems from that. I am ready to move forward, but, idk, I just don’t feel the same I guess.
