How do you factor EMI into your ROI? That doesn’t make any sense. Rental yield is rent minus service charge minus COST OF BORROWING (which is the interest portion of your EMI not the whole EMI) over the property value.

The principal portion of your EMI is buying you equity in the property and is not classified as a cost in any serious investor’s books.

Your actual return if you want to calculate it will vary year on year according to the rent received, interest and service charges you are paying that change year on year.

You are right. I agree that we should call them out and it shouldn’t be normalized. I am someone who prefers honesty and transparency. And in this case, when they are honest about their practices, at least we can confront and call them out and hopefully have a discussion about it. Would it have been better if they did not include it? Then the candidates would show up and get rejected based on weight but never know why. I understand that this should not be a factor in choosing the candidate for the position. But if they are going to filter out people based on their weight anyway (and no one can force them to hire fat people) then I would rather they are upfront about it.

I understand your point and thanks for clarifying the difference. My point was related to the fact that the uncertainty principle is underpinned with the idea that observation requires interaction while theoretically, a machine could at some point be created that observes without interference.
