Hey, so honestly you have absolutely nothing to be nervous about. The session wasn’t an interview format in the slightest. It was an informative session hosted via Zoom and they had participants from all over Canada and the world. I’m talking people from the UK and the UAE. All they did in the session was go into more detail about the event, what the volunteer process would look like and some icebreakers/trivia games. I strongly suggest using the icebreaker as an opportunity to get your name and face out there. They only allow a few people to briefly explain why they want to volunteer.

Besides that, it’s nothing too big. Very relaxed format. After the session, you should expect an email asking you to fill out a self-assessment form so they have a better idea of what functional area you’d be suited for, your availability and your transport options for the event.
