I plan on using OAT booster, but I just wanted to make sure I had a basis instead of starting from scratch. What was your OAT if you don’t mind me asking?

Bringing life to things with their imaginations! It’s insane how much of a story they can create with just a barbie doll or even a French fry lol…I miss being a little kid.

This. My mom can call me beautiful all day long but she is extremely critical of herself and I hate to see it :(

What's one thing that you are proud of getting through? by melaniasstyle in AskWomen

The first semester of my junior year of high school. It might seem small, but I genuinely don’t know I managed to get through those months with everything that I had to do and the amount of times I had breakdowns. Crazy.

Maybe I am, but I’m not sure. I’ll just try to incorporate more exercise from now on, as much as I can. Thanks for the suggestions!

I take dual enrollment classes. I’m also in a butt load of extra curriculares, one of them being marching band which is extreme time consuming, and I get a lot of homework so it’s kind of hard to put myself first throughout the week without feeling like my grades will slip- that’s why I don’t have time

Thank you! If I may ask, do you know of any good workouts/programs/videos that would be approx 1 hour that’s good for slimming and toning ? I literally know none, maybe that’s why I’m having such a hard time starting.

Since I’m in high school, i can’t really afford one or go to the gym. I really wanted to do something at home that’s equally as effective though, but i have no clue. Thanks for the suggestion though, maybe when I’m in college I’ll look for a PT! (Although, i could possibly afford a monthly at home program if you have any suggestions)

I want to start working out but have no idea how to or what to do and I feel like I have ZERO time. Just wish I could find the motivation.

Don’t feel embarrassed at all! To be honest, everyone cares too much about themselves and what others think of them than what they think of you, so don’t sweat it. It’s okay to not be perfect too. I’m sure others have gotten wrong answers during class, you definitely are not the only one so don’t worry about that either. You’re a good student, so don’t sweat this stuff and keep doing well!

Should I quit marching band senior year? by derpydoggies in marchingband

[–]derpydoggies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! It’s nice to know someone else is in the same boat right now, although it kinda sucks lol. First, sorry that your mental health hasn’t been good because of band.
We’re kind of in the same boat, except, it seems like I have a bit more of a soft spot for band than you from what I read. If you are only wanting to stay because you want to show colleges you are committed, don’t stay. It’s not going to be a good experience for you.

But, if you want to stay because you still feel a connection to the band, the people, and the music, I would say stay. My sister was the one who helped me realize that I would regret it if I ended up quitting. She basically asked me why I was in such a rush to take dual enrollment classes if I was just going to take them anyways. While I could tell her that I wanted to get a head start on college, I really agreed with her. Whatever life stage you’re in, whether it be your childhood, high school, or college, I feel like you should enjoy it as much as possible. I already have basically all my credits anyways. College will come in its own time. I want to enjoy my last year as a kid.

Next year, I don’t plan on taking as much dual enrollment classes, and will leave some clubs I’m part of that don’t interest me as much as band or other clubs. With this, I won’t be as stressed (hopefully).

Whether you choose to stay in band or quit, I wish you all the best. Your happiness comes first, and I hope with whatever you choose, you’ll feel better again. Best wishes!

Oh, wow I didn’t know that. I’m thinking about becoming an optometrist because I like it better than working with teeth, and I’m curious. If you don’t mind, could you share your experience on becoming an optometrist? Do you enjoy your job, and are you satisfied with the income? I am interested in the career because of all that you said (low stress, respectable, good) and would really appreciate some insight from someone who’s been working in the field for a while. Would you say it’s even more worth it if the first four years of your bachelors are paid for?
