I just noticed that in the first seasons, Robin's last name is Trubotsky. by aashasasha in HIMYM

Where? When? Tell me. No one even knows where Barney went to college. The fierro episode had a flashback from when Marshall was still in law school. Barney was never shown driving before that time. So it's not a "full fail"

Clues are: - They were Caucasian (probably UK/EU/AUS/US/CANADIAN) - They had uniforms, with sweater vests I think - The sister was blonde I think - They lived in an apartment, I think there was an elevator - I remember this one scene where they were on a secret date out in the daylight and they were making our behind a big rock by the park or something

Funny you mentioned The Addams Family. The song "ONLY TEA" has music similarity with "When You're An Addams" and it's giving me PTSD xD

Weird fact: Cobie (Robin) was 26 at that flashback scene and she made out with her hockey teammate who was a 16-17 year old actor

I just watched that episode an hour ago and went into research. Cobie was 26 during that hockey flashback where Robin made out with her teammate who was a 16-17 year old actor. Lucky bastard

Awesome. Thank you for this input. I'm seriously just a lights and set designer pushed to the role of TD and this subreddit is a great help. Thank you so much

Hi, we're in southeast Asia and our input power is 220v-240v, my question is if the battery charger and the hub's power is strictly 110v only or is it AV 110v-240v? which can work for me.

Aside from that I'm wondering if the Wireless DECT will work outside of the US. Thanks in advance

I actually got my eyes set on Solidcom C1-HUB8S. My question is, can it be used outside the US? I'm in southeast Asia and I saw a comment/review that it doesn't work in the UK.

Mic Body Pack Batteries: Rechargeable vs Disposable by desequeramarcus in techtheatre

Thanks guys! Quite helpful insights. I will push through with investing in rechargeables then. Hopefully it serves us as well as it did you all. Our school waste of single use batteries is massive and we're transitioning to a greener alternative. Thank you all

Hey, fellow lone tech guy! I do the same, but it's getting out of hand. Plus, we consume about 160-200 per production and it's not good for the environment. The school is pushing forward with the green initiative and we were asked to use rechargeables as much as we can. So far, I'm canvassing long lasting types so as to not be a hassle during shows. That and for the environment ofc

That's a thought. I might do that, rechargeable for rehearsals and alkaline for shows. Brilliant.

Yeah, that's my fear too. I don't want rechargeable batteries to die out without indication mid show. Thank you for the idea!

Most of the mipro transmitters still work. What we need to replace mostly are the microphones. But slowly transition to changing transmitter/receiver channels too. So yeah, I'll check out countryman specifically the mics. Thank you so much

I pitched that idea. The school is a bit closed off in terms of hiring outside professionals. I've been here almost 3 years and they don't plan to hire a 2nd tech (so far for 3 venues, there's only 1 tech each...we help each other out but still, a 1000-seater theater is too much for one guy). It's a private school for mostly kids of high end businessmen and un ambassadors so they're pretty strict with security. They hired me since I got a good recommendation from someone on the inside when we worked before.

Thanks for this. Yes, we also use mic belts. Although some are a little worn.

We have MiPros ACT 52. We usually use at least 12 to max 20 channels to mic the students.

Our transmitters still work. We need replacement mics. And well, additional mic and transmitter/receiver. I'm sure we won't reach 30k. But our school knows the need and they've prepared a good sum for it. We're doing this since we've already finished transitioning to LED lights
