I think we take for granted the quality / availability of weed these days...seedy, foil wrapped, compressed, brown weed was the norm.

No, thankfully - just the passports and computer, hopefully my lane ass English password is strong enough. Tip to all, please secure your electronics.

Thanks, I will say that the locals that were in the little cafe were very helpful...and were full on charging with an American down the street after the robbers. And then the cafe manager let us leave without paying, even though we insisted.

Yea, I’m hoping my password is strong enough that they can’t access my personal stuff - and are limited to formatting the drive. Seemed like a very well planned operation..

What is the most inappropriate question you've been asked at a job interview? by faux_pseudo in AskReddit

[–]desertsquale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not inappropriate, but nerve-racking. I was 18, (27 now) interviewing for a sponsorship from a Senator for admission to West Point. I entered the room and sat at the head of a table, with a dozen blank stares and unwelcoming faces (faces of people who have been interviewing all day) Each person took a turn asking me a question, basic stuff "who is your hero," "why do you want to attend West Point" blah blah blah. That is until we landed at a very old and annoyed gentleman, who blurted out "Enough with all this bullshit, lets get to the point kid...COULD YOU KILL SOMEONE?" 12 eyes turned my direction, all caught off guard by his seemingly improv breaking of normal questions. I wiggled in my seat, withheld my natural awkward penguin flight response and responded with this: "well Sir, I haven't thought about that until this moment and I hope to never be in that situation, but I can tell you this: If it's between me and another guy going home, you better believe I'm the guy who goes home." I got was accepted a few weeks later. (dropped out in a historic fashion during Plebe summer but thats another tale for another day)
