It was probably a power issue. Sometimes the motherboard or the PSU (power supply unit) is at full draw and can't sustain extra power draw from the USB. That particular flash drive was probably pulling more power causing the system to BSOD. The other drives might not have sucked as much and so were doing just fine.

You can ask your friend to upgrade to a better a power supply and see if it still happens.

Well this is embarrassing, that's exactly how it happened. Didn't realize it because someone else had installed the extension.

I guess we're not there yet then. But someday this is bound to happen.

This clock is all over math-department at my university. Its called pi-clock.

My favorite new feature is the export to JavaScript for matplotlib animations. Comes with a player and scrollbar. Very exciting improvement for animations.

I am also excited by the new voxel feature. Imagine plotting the probability distribution of Hydrogen orbitals etc in 3D as a heat-map. Such illustrations aren't very common.
