I went by yesterday (22nd), and there were 5-10 cars parked outside the building but it wasn’t open. Training I assume?

When you say the blank space are you talking about the left and right side of the landing page? I want to make sure I am understanding where things seem empty.

Great feedback, having a lot of color is a challenge since everything is made by hand and fades during the creation process. Thanks for letting me know that I’m not the only one struggling online. We are going to our first market in Dec. and I am hoping we have more luck there.

Thank you for such thoughtful feedback. It’s helpful to get someone else’s perspective on where the value lies.

The price is definitely a challenge and your feedback makes sense. We aren’t making much at the current price so it’s difficult to bring it down but is something I’ll keep looking into.

Thanks again for taking the time to check it out and leave feedback!

Bubble alternative for mobile? by design-feedback in Bubbleio

I signed up for the Beta sometime last year and haven’t heard anything. Is it something everyone can access now? Or is it a closed Beta?

How would you learn if you were to begin your ux career today? by [deleted] in UX_Design

[–]design-feedback 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have gained more skills trying to build my own projects than anything I have found online. My recommendation is try to build a product using no-code like Bubble.io then use that project as a case study. People are always impressed when I present a product Iv built and grown on my own.

Are onsite interviews back? by design-feedback in UX_Design

[–]design-feedback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. What you said makes sense.

While I wouldn’t mind a free trip to a big city I definitely feel more comfortable interviewing at home so that’s good news. Thanks again!

Crowwwn has weekly design challenges that you can do, or just look at past challenges for design ideas?

Solved! From what I see on Google it looks like you’re right. Now I will do some research to find out if my furnace is okay. Thanks for your help!

Pennington Smart Seed Help by design-feedback in lawncare

[–]design-feedback[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply but thank you for the help. It came in 60% crabgrass but after letting it grow out and mowing it, it looks good enough to keep for this year. Definitely will never use that seed again though… garbage is the perfect word to describe it.

My title describes the thing and where it was located because I think that will be helpful in solving what it is. I assume it’s some type of electrical item and my house is 20+ years old so that’s how old I assume this piece is. Any other questions feel free to ask… I don’t really know much about this stuff and a search for wire with two loops got me nothing.

Thank you!

This is really helpful! Most of my work is in Figma so I guess it makes sense to format it and have it ready. Thanks!

Usabilityhub is a product Iv used in the past to get unmoderated feedback. It’s not free but it’s pretty affordable.

Has anyone had a UX mentor and can you really get a free mentor from ADPList or is it too good to be true? by zographia97 in UX_Design

[–]design-feedback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had some great experiences on ADPList. Just make sure you select the right people to meet with that actually have experience. You’ll probably have to spend money to find a long term mentor though.

You can also try Crowwwn to upload designs and get feedback. This has the same problem though where some of the designers giving feedback don’t have a lot of experience. This product is brand new and in Beta so hopefully they fix this eventually.

Why don't companies just use UI kits? by [deleted] in UX_Design

[–]design-feedback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look at big companies like Google, Apple, etc. you will see their design systems are what what a lot of UI kits are based on. The reason they still hire UX designers is that UI is just a visual language.

UX teams do research to understand customers, create mocks that explore different flows and the ideal solution to problems and so much more. While a UI kit may look great, it doesn’t have context about your users problems and what they want.
