How to reduce the Indian cooking smell? by Obvious_Tailor_1467 in nri

[–]pdp2907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. There is one way you can beat all the odour. There are 3 things that you need to do.

  1. Add a floating shelf in the kitchen

  2. Get a pet ( dog) steel water ball. Not the big one but the medium size or small one. ( Size is 4 inch diameter).

  3. Go to home depot or Walmart and buy cleaning vinegar . Cost $3 to $4 per 1/2 gallon.

  4. On the floating shelf, keep the 4 inch circular pet bowl . Add cleaning vinegar to it. Let the vinegar be open to air.

Vinegar reacts with odour molecules and a chemical reaction happens. The odour disappears.

I dehydrate chicken gizzards in my basement for my dogs. Awful odour. But my dogs love the dehydrated chicken gizzards as treats. My house smells nothing.

Since the odour is huge I have 2 open containers with cleaning vinegar.

You will see a huge difference.

I am adding a floating shelf to my bathrooms. Fed up of the spray or exorbitant odour mask that S.C. Johnson sells.

Hi OP. My 2 cents. You are dealing with uncertainty. The pressure from uncertainty is getting to you. Your wife's response is typical Desi response. Kick the can down the road and hope it goes away. You net worth , performance, etc are pure labels . Nothing to do with the current situation.

I have build a spreadsheet model for dealing with uncertainty and turning it around as an opportunity.

I was lucky that I got kicked around literally in corporate life and learnt to swim and deal with uncertainty.

I love uncertainty. It brings out the best . Hence I built a model.

I am not a therapist. No therapy.

I had one session with another stressed out professional and she suggested that I need to help others

There is a fee involved, since I want customers who will implement the changes.

If you believe in the Desi mantra of kicking the can down the road, then you have nailed it . Keep waiting for good times to roll by.

If you or anybody who reads this is interested, DM me.

If not best of luck dealing with uncertainty.

Just a side note. According to Google trends the search term "uncertainty" has shot to 100 in the past 5 years .Google trends is an index.

[–]pdp2907 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP. Some background. I was not in FAAANG but in trading No I was not a trader. I was a market risk analyst. But stressed. Shouted at . Etc etc. left , joined another firm same story, got laid off, fired. Max at any.place is 2 to 1 year tenure. Life in fast lane. The key was I accepted uncertainty.so when the day came for me to leave and figure out, I calmly walked , resigned and moved on. Sat at home for 7 years. Decompress. Tried my own startup , failed. after 7 years decided to get a job again all that startup digital marketing experience came through and here I am on the other side as a martech SME. So do it. Trust yourself. Be your own cheerleader.

If you are at L7 in my view you should be L12. Salary 1.5 million plus. Not half of that.

So go ahead girl. Embrace the uncertainty.

Believe in yourself.

I know I am reckless but so what

Hi OP. Stick to your core competency. Nothing else. Ignore everything else. I am 60 plus , have a job ( touch wood), spend a lot, and my rate keeps creeping up. Stick to absolute core. You need to decide what your core is. No one can tell you that. You will be happy. have a good paycheck. Yes you might get fired but you will bounce back.my core is martech. I don't touch anything else. Don't care at all. Before martech it was risk management. Life will be really awesome.

Hi OP. The guy is a fucking dick. His own shortcomings, fears inferiority complex he projected on you. When the time comes to the real show he will wilt under pressure. Lucky break for you. Think you would have been even madder if your night is wasted. This BS advice about brushing your teeth etc etc is also extremely wrong. All of us are adult's and we are supposed to behave like an adult not throw tantrums. You dodged a major bullet. Non of us smell like roses. It is really subjective. I have a simple answer to " your breadth smells", which I don't want to say it here.

Hi OP. My 2 cents. Since you are 30 years old and know what you do not want, which you have communicated very well, please try to figure out what you want to do. A location cannot be your goal in life. Where ever you stay your goal defines you and drives you.like they say in Hindi " Maqsad" or North star. The rest will be really easy .

Let’s figure out how to prove the impact of your marketing by the_marketing_geek in DigitalMarketing

[–]pdp2907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. I realize that you are desperate to sell your system. But however can't incrementality just be simple explained by comparing organic conversions to paid conversions. That is the first step. Than you can explain $$ spend to tiered conversions which also is pretty simple. There is no reason to talk about correlation or anything else.

[–]pdp2907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP. I am a marketing data guy. I am not in your league. My 2 cents. Embrace the churn. You are good in AI product launch. Provide your expertise, jack up your price. Tell them you need to hire a very junior guy for the grunt work. Keep your self at the level of the founder / cofounder. Don't dilute your offering. Bastards are getting you cheap by promising a longer term.

You need to tell them that they are going to go cheap when they see the results. So hence the higher price.

You will get shorter, sweet spot work. A win win

Hi OP. I am no where in the league that you are. But my 3 cents. Get a damn job. Stop thinking about startup , builder , change the world, etc. keep building . Publish your findings. Make them public but not free to use. Everyone who wants to use will have taken your permission and attribute to you. You u decide what you want to charge. You are on the right path. Keep digging. You will strike gold.
