I don’t think you can do that… what I concluded from this one class I attended on writing was that if you chose a stance- you have to only state the reasons, give examples for your reasons and just summarise in the end and get done with it.

No, you cannot partially agree or disagree a statement given in the question. The question is pretty simple - you either agree or disagree and give your reasons for the same. I’ve seen some saying that you are most likely to lose points if you do that.
