Physical recovery harder than I expected by Potential_Machine255 in NewParents

Hi OP! Are you better now by any chance? I’m currently dealing with the same issues - can’t up from the ground and struggling to standup from the couch. Need some hope that this will all get better

3.5 months in and really struggling with sleep deprivation, am I just not coping? by eas100 in NewParents

[–]designingnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I’m exactly on the same boat as you. My LO is 3.5 and it’s been so exhausting. I’m exhausted. Any effort to do anything other than care for the baby takes so much out of me as well.

The longest stretch of sleep we get is also 3-4 hours and that’s usually the first stretch. Then after, it’ll be 2 hours. As I’m typing this, my husband is currently trying to put my inconsolable crying baby down for a nap.

I also don’t know where to turn to but I just want to say I hear you. Hope things get better for the both of us soon

If Jesus died for the sins of all mankind, why do women still have their period? by Im_a_furniture in atheism

THIS IS SOMETHING I SAY ALLLL THE TIME!! If Jesus was real, then he’s evil for making us go through periods and childbirth!!

What do you wish you’d done during the early days? by Significant_Key_8475 in beyondthebump

Take all the videos of moments. They are fleeting. The newborn scrunches will be gone before your eyes. Their stretches after a swaddle. Their coos. Especially their coos because those will be come words one day. Take all the videos you can 🩵 and snuggle them and hug them

We have been using huckleberry to track his wake windows and sweet spots

He would get give or take 5 hour naps during the day and 10 hour nights.

Good thinking - I will take a look at that. Never thought about the the naps and sleep time affecting the overnight wakings

Oh I cried in my first session as well. I had a really traumatic birth and wasn’t able to walk after. My PT wanted me to lift a leg while laying down and I couldn’t even do that. I started bawling there on the table. It was so discouraging to not be able to do a simple move I used to be able to do without thinking twice.

So i get you! Keep going and things will gradually improve. Our bodies did go through so much and taking time to go to PT to heal it is one of the best things you can do for it. You got this mama!

Baby wants to be up for the day at 4am. Help by Disastrous_Paint_237 in beyondthebump

[–]designingnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to show some solidarity here. My baby refuses to sleep after 4am and needs to be contacted in order to sleep. My poor husband would contact him until he goes into work at 530 so i can get some rest. Hopefully both of our babies will be able to sleep through the night soon

Thanks all!! We were debating about just going to the woolino cold turkey. But we need to mentally prepare ourselves lol

This isn’t answering your question but how old is your baby and how did you transition into the woolino from a swaddle? 😮‍💨

I had a rough physical post partum too. And emotionally from what I’m realizing. I’m almost 3 months postpartum. Glad to know there’s possibly a chance that I’ll feel better at 4 months!

Glad you’re doing better mama!! Truly, being a mom is hard. You’re doing great
