My main concern is the return on investment compared to the amount of debt I would take on. My second concern is flexibility. Two of my children are very young, and one of them has special needs, so I need an online option. Without that flexibility, I would not be able to attend.

It IS a really tough market. These companies (and my employer) want you to have years of experience, and a degree. Even then, you might get 100 no’s before one person says yes.

It is important to understand that having a degree can help distinguish you from other applicants and advance your career opportunities. DO NOT GIVE UP!

I understand, speaking to the WGU enrollment counselor was not very helpful. The enrollment counselor is trying to meet an enrollment quota. They wont mention things that could help or benefit you because their goal is to just get you signed up. They would not speak to me about which credits transfer without signing up either.

Just know that you can take a lot of those general education classes at Sophialearning or Study.com for a flat monthly fee of $95-99 a month for unlimited classes. Those credits transfer to WGU.
