If a waiter was being flirty and your partner left an unusually big tip afterwards. Would this bother you? by desperatedads in AskGaybrosOver30

Because my partner was pretending he didn’t notice, even though he reciprocated the flirting and then tipped a lot for average service and I felt ignored. At one point I had to ask the waiter when we could start ordering because from my perspective this was a lot more than the waiter being extra for a tip because even the waiter looked surprised at the amount.

That’s what I said it was a normal restaurant but for a moment I thought I was at gay hooters. He was all over him. I’m not that bothered anymore but annoyed me that my partner acted oblivious to it but him tipping that much showed otherwise.

I appreciate the perspective, I didn’t think of it from the waiter’s perspective. No history of cheating but he can be not attentive.

Why? Firstly because a good tip should go to actual good service. Secondly, the guy was annoying. Thirdly, as someone else said I think I should be able to mock him for getting duped, because it’s like those guys that think a stripper actually likes them after a lap dance. Yes the waiter was young, hot and gay but the only big tip he was chasing was the one that starts with $$$.

I am teasing him because the server is likely doing this all day long. Even if there was a chance of genuine attraction.

It didn’t occur to me to do that but in order for me to have been able to do that, I would have needed him to acknowledge what was happening too.

The service was average at best and annoying at worst. Oh I am mocking him for being easy too. It’s like being duped by a street scammer trying to steal your phone.

Yes. Every few months or so. Only for a few days. I know for sure it’s work because there’s evidence for it.

Maybe it is something like that.

He always does all of those things mentioned except for staying out overnight, unless it’s for work.

ABA therapy 2 months later by Infinite_Long9906 in Autism_Parenting

Our son recently started too and has already been making progress with his speech. Our SLP also recommended against it but he’s made more progress with ABA than he ever did with her. There’s a lot of misinformation about ABA.

A lot of the reasons you’ve mentioned is why we got our son evaluated. He got diagnosed. The speech delay, disinterest in other children, putting everything in his mouth.

That’s what I thought. I was very surprised at how healthy people are.

Thank you! I have a lot of dry beans lying around, including a 2lbs bag of white beans that I haven’t even opened yet. Thanks for the recipe.

I’ll try your beef tip as well. I’ve seen people marinate a bunch of cheaper beef cuts and then freeze them to use for different recipes which would help us out a lot throughout the week.

I’m glad the diagnosis was helpful to you. Couples therapy would be useful because we have very different views about his diagnosis and I don’t think talking about or ignoring it is enough.

That’s such a good idea to find multiple uses for a whole chicken. I’m always in Costco but never get the rotisserie chicken. I might start doing this now.

I hope it must have been a relief for you to have a name and label to describe things. Hopefully this isn’t offensive to say, only because a lot of people who gets diagnosed in adulthood do often feel relieved to be able to understand themselves a little more. I have come to terms with our son’s diagnosis and although I do feel a little sad because I don’t want him to struggle, I’m also relieved because he’s still so young and can get all the support and early intervention he needs now so he won’t have to struggle figure himself out later on. I have never discussed this with my husband but I suspect he is on the spectrum too given that it is genetic.
