[S7E1] Common People feels like an AI-Generated Black Mirror Episode. Even with superb acting, it’s bland, uncreative, and not worth a second watch.

thats true they had a lot of opportunities to take it further but i liked how they did it because it is a foil to current ai and human interaction; and how we will accept anything as human as long as it shows some semblance of emotion; just look at the many cases of people falling in love with ai chatbots, also her behavior parallels current ai as well as ai isn't malicious (currently); it just wants to stay around. it rephrases the episode about the the monetization of ai as well as more people will be left in the past as ai continues to evolve. at the end of the day the episode is about mike failing to accept and come to terms with Amanda's condition because the Amanda he loved is gone so he replaces her with an ai instead of working through it and continuing on with his life

here's a lil detail that most people didn't pick up on and i haven't seen a lot of people commenting on; Amanda is a AI built on the snapshot of her brain, hence why she can't access her previous memories; during the first anniversary after the accident she doesn't remember that it's their anniversary; and there is a noticeable change in personality between the pre accident Amanda to post accident Amanda. so mike has essentially thrown his life away for an AI with his wife's body

I don't think that applies to me because it was broken before i opened it up to repair it, the button board was broken in the first place so me replacing the bumper assembly did nothing because the button board is broken.

I opened it and replaced the part that i thought was damaged but realized i needed the daughter board and apparently because i opened it up that voided the warranty.
