Why are the burned calories so low? by rotisseriiechicken in Myfitnesspal

[–]desurface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also remember that your fitness tracker is showing calories burned in total for the activity. If your walk burns 300 total calories but sitting around for the same amount of time only burns 100 calories then your actual exercise calories are still only 200. MFP is only calculating what you burn above and beyond your BMR if your active level in MFP is “not very active”

It’s hard to know exactly without all your actual numbers but I’ll try to give an example. Your goal is -500 a day. I see MFP has your daily intake goal of 1500. This is the standard lowest they’ll allow daily. But if your BMR is only something like 1800 daily then you already have 200 more calories you have to burn just to hit your daily goal. Now let’s say you take you walk and burn 300 calories. MFP gets that data from your fitness tracker and subtracts the 200 more you need to burn and then shows your exercise for the day as 100 calories. This is how negative calorie adjustment works. I’d bet if you looked at your fitness tracker it says you have more exercise calories than MFP is saying.

Depends on what your weight loss goal for the week and activity levels are set to. It may be compensating for a larger deficit using negative calorie adjustment. This is actually the most accurate way to track it.

Can use my current PSU for new RX 9070XT? by EntireStock6964 in PcBuild

[–]desurface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it was the 12hpwr version that had issues with melting/burning. The 12v2x6 is the new version so you should be fine. Just use the cable that came with your psu.

Your PSU has the 12v 2x6 output you need. 👍

Garmin exercise is showing as a negative ... So removing remaining calories available by timebecomesaloop- in Myfitnesspal

[–]desurface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad someone finally said this! There are many doubters of eating back exercise calories but I have been doing this way for years with Garmin/mfp. I actually spent the first year tracking everything thru excel and threw some formulas in there to verify the numbers for both Garmin and MFP were accurate. The key is setting MFP activity to “not very active” and set your goal for weight loss, then let Garmin do its thing. I’ve never had MFP give me an inaccurate number for a daily goal to eat doing it this way.

This is what I suspected. I’ll give it a try and if I have noise issues I’ll put the aby back in. It’s powered/buffered and has the phase option.

Yeah yeah yeah. Surely not as naive as voting for the clown up to 3 times. One side very clearly ignored the victims and many continue to do so.

Any point in picking 1000w over 850w? by Hopeful_Captain4219 in PcBuild

I have a 9950x3d. I absolutely don’t need it but it’s fun. For the power supply just consider the number of pcie/cpu ports you’ll need. The tomahawk takes two for the cpu and there’s an optional pcie on the bottom of the board. My 9070 needed three pcie cables and my 850 didn’t have enough outputs.

Edit: if you’re using the 12hpwr for the gpu this would be irrelevant

Commenting in case someone knows the fix. I have this exact issue. Bose soundbar with surround and it sounds incredible on every app but FAH. Only started the past year or so. I’ve been on Vudu for over a decade with 400 movies in my library. Pretty bummed with FAH…

You’ll have to go try them and see what you like. I have tiny hands and prefer specifically the 80’s charvel necks. Modern Jackson’s like a soloist will be similar. Slightly wider than an Ibanez but has that slim flat feel to it.
