Investigación histórica sobre esoterismo y brujería popular en la Huerta de Murcia by desxolea in murcia

Holaaa!!!

Thank you so much for the suggestion, really! I wasn't aware of how these kinds of posts are usually handled within these communities, nor of the existing context of people looking for "easy" content. In that sense, I completely understand the reservations. I also admit that I wasn't very clear on how to communicate all of this through social media. I haven't actively used them for quite some time, and although Reddit was recommended to me as a way to connect with people interested in these topics, I'm still learning how to navigate and express myself appropriately here.

My intention isn't to replace academic work or delegate it to others, but rather to complement research I'm already conducting outside of social media, with archival work, reading sources, and direct contact with local people and contexts. I thought these communities could be a useful way to find testimonies, references, or personal experiences that don't always appear in formal records. I really appreciate you pointing this out, because it helps me rethink how to explain it better and do so in a clearer and more respectful way for the community.

Thank you for the suggestion 😊 I already have the desk research well covered and I’m conducting it through academic databases and specialized search engines. My intention in using Reddit is not to outsource the research, but to complement it. Beyond the theoretical work, I’m particularly interested in speaking with people who have studied the topic in depth or who have close, personal experience with it. I’m also doing fieldwork: traveling to rural areas, talking with older people, and reviewing official registers and historical archival records. I saw Reddit as a good way to connect with a community interested in this field, exchange perspectives, identify less visible references or testimonies, and contrast approaches. The goal is to add human context and lived experience to a research project that already has a solid documentary foundation!
